I've been using this dumbbell set heavily for 2 years now and they have performed satisfactorily. I bought these because living in an apt I need something that doesn't take up too much room (a full rack of free weights is not an option) and the equivalent metal adjustable weights are too pricey. Despite being made of plastic, I've not had durability problems. The extended thread length at the sides and the width of plates make some exercises harder to do as they get in the way (e.g. sumo squats), but this isn't an issue for the majority of exercises you would want to do. The option to connect into barbell configuration adds options, but some barbell exercises won't be comfortable (or possible) if you have plates on both sides of each handle. Overall, the value you get for your money is good, assuming you can't afford a high quality metal set. Pros: -Easy to store -Good value for the money Cons: -The handles are not very comfortable. With gloves it is not an issue. -Switching out plates takes a long time due to the length of thread.

Honestly the weights for curling were really good and give nice options for variety of weight you could use. There are some bad things though first of all not all weights can be on the barbell at once. Second of all the weights get loose easily with all the weights on the dumbells which led to two 2kg weights and two 2.5kg weights falling on my left shoulder on DB bench press. Third of all the weights were in kg as mentioned the shipping was decent for paying an extra $20 so it wouldn't arrive 2 weeks after the birthday I only waited from Monday to Friday. Another negative thing is there was like a piece of mulch or something on my weight? So that's weird. I wouldn't recommend it for people who don't want to be stuck with preacher curls, lat raises, hammer curls and other things without third party equipment.

These arrived quickly and were exactly as I expected. The adjustments can be a little tough at first, but the locking nuts get easier to loosen and tighten with time. Overall I consider them a very good purchase.

A little annoying to take the screws on and off, and the weight is in kg and not lbs, but overall this is a great option for the time being while we can’t go to the gym.
