Pandemics killed my apatite to hit the gym. I have been running but some weight training is important to me to feel well. I recently got one set of adjustable dumbbells 15-55lbs and another one 5-25lbs. These two are usually enough for a home exercise for me. However, inclined bench press requires more than 25lbs, so got another one of 15-55lbs set. These adjustable dumbbells are great space savers indeed. Initial Force can be adjusted from 15lbs to 55 lbs with 10 lbs intervals. Mechanism works flawlessly and doesn't add any frustration to the exercise. This is truly a great set of dumbbells itself indeed. It is very easy to adjust the mechanism, it can be used only with one hand, the dial numbers are huge and easy to read. The dumbbell is very balanced, doesn't try to rebalance itself while it is in your hand. It also doesn’t feel awkward when it is used at the lowest weight setting. Adjusted weight comes out of the bunch very easily. It also gets back in very easily and flawlessly. The handle is very ergonomically shaped and comfortable. It isn’t very thick and easy to be handled even by small handed people. The bottom tray is well made. It has finger holes at sides for easy handling. It also slides on the floor easily. It holds remaining weights in place nicely. There are two pins that allow you to rotate the adjustment dial. Unless both the buttons at the bottom of the dumbbell are pressed at the same time, the weigh adjustment dial can't be rotated. This means when you take the dumbbell out of the rack with selected weight, weight plates are secured in their place and they don't fall off. You can't also rotate the adjustment dial while it is out of its rack and cause accidents. Each weight piece left on the rack are 5 pounds and they can be removed from the tray while the dumbbell is not in the rack. Each piece are easy to be grabbed and can be used for exercising small muscle groups. Weigh pieces are covered withs ome sort of plastic and they are not clanging metal. As the locking mechanism works smoothly, there are no scratches or wear and tear on this plastic coverings. this set is not expected to rust within its lifetime. Also it is very easy to keep them clean. Looking at well known brands, these are almost half the price for piece. This concept is a great space saver for home trainings. This is a great product and highly recommended.

Never tried an adjustable dumbbell. Seems to work well. If you don't have a lot of space to set up a gym style rack with a bunch of set weight dumbbells, or even just plates, this might be an option for you. The first time I tried to work it, I had a hard time. After that, it's adjusted smoothly. I was little worried about a plate dropping off, but it hasn't happened so far. If you're just starting some type of therapy, the lowest weight might be too much. The lowest is 15lbs. It's not a lot of weight, but I've had injuries where even that little bit would be too much when starting recovery. Aside from that, seems to be a solid product. The base it sets in is plastic, but I think it will last awhile if not abused. You will want to use the base, as it holds the weights you aren't using. If used correctly, it holds the plates in the specific position they need to be to set the dumbbell down to adjust the weight. So, don't put it somewhere the dog will gnaw on it. When the package arrives, it's all one box. If you aren't able to lift a fairly large 55-60lb package safely on your own, bring help. Or, be prepared to be open the box and make several trips to where ever. That's not a problem with the product, just something to consider when you pick it up.

This adjustable dumbbell is not only an excellent space saving option due to the quick and easy adjustments, but also a comfortable and natural feeling dumbbell option. My son uses the dumbbell for workouts in a smaller room of my home and simply stores in a closet out of the way once finished. The adjustment mechanism is very user friendly with large numbers and a bright yellow indicator, yet very secure once a weight is selected and the dumbbell is in use. I love that the range of weight for the dumbbell spans from 15-55 pounds, allowing an incredible amount of exercises to be performed without requiring the space and price of a full rack of dumbbells. The handle is also very comfortable with a rubber non-slip feel that doesn’t cut up the hands like some metal versions would, but still has a good texture for grip. The weight plates themselves are a plastic material that feels very durable without scratching up the other plates during adjustments. If I could improve one area, it would be the adjustment levels. I wish there was a way to increase in 5lb intervals instead of 10, as sometimes 10 may be too large of a jump. It’s certainly not a deal-breaker for an adjustable dumbbell at this price point, but something to take note of if you need the smaller adjustment increments.

I have been gradually building the equipment I have for my home gym. Since I don't have a lot of space, everything I get needs to make good use of the space I have available. I had an adjustable dumbbell from another company (a nationally known name brand) that I stopped working within a few weeks. This adjustable dumbbell is very sturdy and accurate. Easy to set! Turn the handle / dial to set the desired weight and pick it up out of the base tray. The weights that are attached for each setting have always been accurate and they stay attached! This set does seem to be a bit expensive, but they are competitively priced. And the quality is better than more expensive models.
