In an earlier review (7/27/23) I explained that the OTSUN teak wood Adirondack chair I ordered was damaged when received. Considering the damage to be self-repairable. I did so and assembled the chair. After assembly I contacted OTSUN customer support directly, explaining that delivery of the damaged chair appeared to be an internal OTSUN quality assurance problem, since box and packing materials were in perfect condition when received. The reply from OTSUN was prompt and courteous. After a quick review of a photo showing the damage OTSUN offered potential remedies, all of which I found to be acceptable. Once we agreed on the remedy OTSUN quickly followed up and responded as promised. I am quite pleased with their efforts to leave me a satisfied customer. As an additional comment, I have since obtained an OTSUN polyethylene outdoor side table. It is well designed, easy to assemble and very sturdy. ... show more

I was skeptical at first because of the low price point. I once worked for a company that handmade this type of chair and their base unit was 3x the cost of this chair. This is definitely a good buy for the money. Sturdy, heavy, and comfortable.

The product was somewhat challenging to put together. Fortunately my husband is a handy kind of guy. The main problem was after requesting 4 chairs the same colour, which were ordered simultaneously, two blue chairs showed up then one more and then a black one. You cannot swap products with Amazon so you are forced to return the black chair and order the new one. By this time Otsun does not have the chair available. So now what do I do with 3 assembled chairs? No resolution from Amazon. How tricky can it be to send out the right colour chairs? It's stated right on the box and surly product numbers address this. This actually is ergonomically correct, curved for your back (as opposed to more expensive Pollywood products that are extremely uncomfortable and much more expensive). My husband sits for hours watching football in these chairs while I slave away in the kitchen.

My first impression after building these is that they are very sturdy and will last for many years. Love the color. My only negative comment at this point is that the assembly instructions have a really bad error. It suggests that you should use the short screws to affix the chair back to the seat, and to use the long screws for the connector railings. It's completely the reverse. If you follow the instructions, I'm concerned that the chair could suddenly come apart and cause injury. (I hope people are realizing this, and not following the directions literally.) ... show more
