There are several pockets, even a hidden pocket for your wallet, 3 zippered sections to keep items separated and two pockets for drink bottles. I bought this for my daughter. She doesn't use her locker ever. So when she comes home this backpack is full and weighs about 10 pounds. It is also huge on the inside and has plenty of room for pretty much anything you need for school. It has slots for her chrome book, folders and binders. Holds her water bottle and doesn't fall out. It has held up for a year of the abuse and she is using it again this school year. Easy to clean, I just toss it in the washer and dryer and it's doing great.
