The toe box is definitely on the narrow side, but if these fit you, these are great shoes. The tie system has its pros and cons, and I think I slightly prefer these over traditional laces but it's close. I don't have to worry about re-tying my shoes during a hike or round. But, if they get wet and then dry, they can be be difficult to adjust. I sometimes have to tighten them before I can loosen them. My first pair lasted 2 full seasons, and I liked them enough to buy a second identical pair.

I work out daily, plus do 3-8miles speed-walk daily. Here are the shoe's pluses FOR ME 1) great stability 2)great traction 3)great overall support 4)speed laces big plus here is the negative: 1)like every other athletic/outdoor shoe producer the provided insole is a skimpy, laughable nothingburger.Accordingly It wouldn't cost the producer less than a couple of bucks to ship their shoes with top-class cushioned insoles in order to lift the customer's experience from great to oustanding. Consequently I slipped super-thin, $15 Spenco brand insoles underneath the standard insole to achieve immediate improved shock absorption+comfort upgrade. They are quite a bit heavier than my normal soccer referee shoes, but they worked great to keep my feet dry during a rainy weekend tournament: dry socks = no blisters! The tread pattern gives better traction than running shoes on wet grass, as long as the conditions don't require the use of cleats. Based on the extra weight, I don't usually wear them for just one game.

I prefer the previous version of this shoe, it was a bit wider and the fit was more true. I generally wear a 1/2 size larger in any Adidas shoes, but with these I need an additional 1/2 size. without it, they are wearable, but felt very tight in the toe box and even along the sides. These shoes also offer little in the way of padding so I always add an insole. I was able to add a slim insole with my first pair, but it was obviously even tighter. Going up a size I was able to add a more comfortable insole and overall, it fit well. The shoes are very stiff out of the box, but they do loosen up over time. The quality is great though, I was pretty rough on my first pair and it lasted about 18 months... The only noticeable wear was along the back from slipping the shoe on without loosening them up. For style, these have been my favorite shoes for a long time, and I receive randoms inquiries about them regularly from strangers. Overall a great shoe, just get it sized right and add an insole for comfort.

there was no size 11.5 so I went for size 12 based on experience. Full disclosure: I'm a sports medicine physician. The shoe is stiff because it is encased in real Gore-Tex. Thus, the normal flex and stretch is NOT going to occur with this design. Going up one full size is a bit large but comfortable. The key is speed lacing system. It contours the foot so it feels like a 11.5. I like it. Those who experience loss of waterproofing is likely due to stretching of Gore-Tex seams so I don't think it goods strategA to by your size and force stretch this shoe. Additional bonus: This is an old model but it has Continental tire corporation rubber sole. I have experience with racing and this rubber is identical to Continental tire rubber. Thus, it is extremely durable and grippy in the wet. This is bonus. In Summary: Fits small so buy .5 to 1 size up or suffer during stretch in period which is bad for Gore-Tex. Speed Lacing as good as Salomon and high performance rubber sole.

Great shoe for walking and also great for being water resistant. In terms of size I purchased a 9.5 and I average 9 to 9.5 on most shoes. It takes time to break them in but overall will fit closer to tight. If youre like me and average between 9 or 9.5, definitely go larger. If you scale from 9.5 to 10 on shoe sizes, I'd recommend the 10 so that you have some breathing room.
