    • Love it
I was not happy replacing my older keyboard but was surprised at how well I like this one. Soft keys and easy typing . I'm trying to get used to the touchpad, there's a learning curve that I'm trying to conquer, like the copy and pasting. Sometimes it gets carried away . But I'm sure it's me It has the numbers keypad which I needed. I like the button to shut down my computer and the media keys at the top. It also makes screen grabbing easier as well. I did learn that plugging the USB into the front of the computer tower works alot better than in the back with the monitors and internet hardwire. Note to self. ... show more

    • It's an OK keyboard... layout needs work
The keyboard seems fine to type on. The key feel is one of the better parts of the keyboard; it's quiet but reasonably comfortable to type on. The touchpad isn't offensively bad. It's not the smoothest but not terrible. The scrolling zone is very narrow and requires you put your finger right up to the edge of the touchpad, and even then it isn't 100% reliable. Tap to click is a bit overly sensitive. The hardest part of this keyboard is going to be getting used to the layout. I'm no stranger to compact layouts, but the arrow key / right shift arrangement is particularly bad. The lack of a menu key is annoying for me; wish I had noticed before I bought it. If Adesso wants inspiration, I'd advise them to look at the Cherry G80-11900. ... show more

    • Almost good
This keyboard is frustrating on so many levels. in theory, it ticks many boxes that should make it a great keyboard. Instead, poor design and build quality hamstring it to something less-than good. First, the traditional keyboard layout (flat Enter/Return key) is severely compromised by the incorporation of a mess of special function keys (multimedia + web browser that necessitated squishing the cursor keys with the standard row. The effect being commonly used keys like right shift and "?" having their relative sizes reversed making touch typing poor. Second, the action used for the keybed is particularly mushy. It is similar, if not identical, to other Adesso keyboards I own which is to say tolerable at best, unpleasant at worst. Third, the touchpad (as so many others have noted) is early-2000s style scroll zone-only. No multitouch. At least the buttons are in a sensible location *below* the touchpad rather than on either side like on Adesso's rackmount keyboard/touchpad. As this is an "all-in-one" solution and Adesso is pretty much the only game in town for this type of keyboard, all of the above would be forgivable and still warrant a "good" (definitely not great) rating from me IF they keyboard worked flawlessly. Which it does not. The fifth (and greatest) issue I have with this keyboard is that the touchpad does not turn on unless you unplug-and-plug it back in. Every time. I've tried multiple hubs, different computers, different OSes, etc... always with the same result. The touchpad does not turn on unless you plug-cycle it. I don't understand how this could be the case coming from Adesso. I have a few of their other keyboard+touchpad units and they don't have this issue. All I want is a version of those keyboards with a more ergo-friendly touchpad layout -which, this 445UB should be but, sadly, is not. ... show more

Right shift key is small. Other than that, works fine.

    • Useless
Basically useless. Touchpad stops working after a few minutes. Has to be unplugged and plugged back in to make it work again.

    • Bought this keyboard at Best Buy site but they had no "write a review".. It's a Great Keyboard!
I bought this keyboard at Best Buy site but they had no "write a review". I just wanted to tell those searching for a great USB wired multi-function keyboard that I love the Adesso EasyTouch 445. It has a smooth keypress and the integrated touchpad works flawlessly without taking up much space. And there's nothing missing... even a detent scroll bar! ... show more

    • Wanted to love it...
At first I loved this keyboard - my workplace no longer has an ergonomic professional and I had to explore/purchase my own options to not be in crippling pain at my desk by the end of the week. The trackpad placement on this keyboard was fantastic and positioned in such a way that took a lot of strain off my shoulder caused by using a conventional mouse. I wasn't a huge fan of the way some of the keys were squished or modified, but it was something I was fine dealing with. The keys were satisfyingly tactile, and typing was easy. However, I bought the keyboard in February and by July it was beginning to malfunction; keys began to stop working, the touchpad sensitivity began to malfunction, and the left click button fully stopped working. I keep my keyboards very clean and have a small, specialized vacuum at my desk for just that purpose, so there wasn't any gunk or crumbs clogging the works. The fact that the keyboard is wired seemed to work against it, as I've had bluetooth keyboards (like the replacement I'm typing on...) with much more reliable connectivity and continued functioning. I so wanted to love this for the long haul but it seems it's better for light or limited use. ... show more
