  • It just works!
Capacity: 480GB Style: SATA 2.5 3D
Pros - Cost (Can not beat the price for a SSD) - Shifting from a SATA Drive to an SSD on a laptop. I noticed that my normal boot time was cut in half from 40 secs to less than 20 seconds (Windows 10 64-bit). - Performance increased my memory is currently maxed at 12GB and was pleasantly surprised how quickly the applications opened on the new drive. - You can download the imaging software from ADATA's website. Cons - I wish ADATA provided imaging software with the drive. Other Thoughts I did not use ADATA's imaging software to perform a disk to disk copy. I am a old school ghost tech but my version of ghost has issues creating bootable Windows 10 images. After some digging I found Paragon Drive Copy to be a great solution; which I used to copy my old drive to the new ADATA (480GB). I found out later there is a free version available (Backup & Recovery 16 Free Edition) that will also capture an image of your drive. There are several Youtube videos that will walk you through the image capture process using paragon. I will submit another post if I have any issues with the drive. ... show more

  • ADATA to the rescue!!
I'll cut to the chase. While upgrading my mothers old laptop I decided to replace the old Crucial C300 64GB SSD with this Adata! Booting Windows 10 takes 18 seconds from power on to desktop running with an old Athlon X2 QL-65 2.1Ghz dual core CPU and 4GB of ram. I wasn't expecting this level of performance but wow.. what an improvement over the old C300. Speeds tested on my i5-6600k rig are as follows: Crystal Disk Mark 5.1.2 x64 Seq. Read: 552 MB/s Write: 213 MB/s 4k Read: 28.34 MB/s Write: 88.62 MB/s AS SSD Benchmark 1.8.5 Seq. Read: 501 MB/s Write: 197 MB/s 4k Read: 23 MB/s Write: 72 MB/s Acc Read: .055 ms Write: .068 ms Score: 301 Read, 246 Write, 694 Total Samsung Magician Seq. Read: 555 MB/s Write: 213 MB/s Random Read: 59,567 IOPS Random Write: 52,580 IOPS So, for a 39 dollar 120GB SSD I'd say this is excellent for a basic OS / Programs drive. I've been very impressed with its performance especially on such old hardware. The rated speed by Adata states 520 MB/s Read & 180 MB/s Write.... so from our tests you can see they are dead on. I'm a fan, performance is in line and for 39 bucks... you just can't beat it. RECOMMENDED!! ... show more

  • Died after less than 2 years use.
Capacity: 480GB Style: SATA 2.5 3D
Got about 20 months use out of this drive before it refused to boot my computer. Pulled the Adata drive and installed a Samsung and figured maybe I could at least transfer some of the files off the Adata. Long story short, yes I was eventually successful, but with a failing drive it is like pulling teeth. This is the second Adata SSD that has failed for me in less than 2 years. EDIT: Changed my review from a single star to three. Contacted ADATA about my dead SU650-SS and they sent me an RMA number. I returned the drive at my expense (about $10) and they shipped me a replacement SU800 within a couple of days of receiving the bad SU650. ... show more

  • The SU650 Extended the useful life my Lenovo ThinkPad by several years
Capacity: 240GB Style: SATA 2.5 3D
The installation of this ADATA SU650 240GB 3D NAND drive was easily done - but only if you download and use the free version of Macrium Reflect. After cloning the old hard drive and installing the SU650 the increase in the performance of my Lenovo ThinkPad T510 was astounding. Although I knew that this 10 years old laptop was I/O bound, I didn't realize just how severe the old hard was struggling. Installation of this value-priced SSD has extended the useful life of this office "daily driver" laptop by several years. Now its worth installing Windows 10 to get yet another boost in performance! ... show more

  • Limited 3-year Warranty?
Capacity: 480GB Style: SATA 2.5 3D
It was May 31st, 2018 when I purchased this 480GB Adata SSD. Today is July 5th, 2021; just a month passed the 3-year limited warranty and the drive has too many bad sectors to read, write, or even reformat according to Aeomi Disk Partition Pro. I rarely used this drive but to store data and play the occasional video game. For about the same length of time, I've been using a Samsung 480GB SSD in another computer with a similar setup. Hopefully, it will continue to work for a while longer than the Adata did. ... show more

  • Popped in an old desktop for an immediate upgrade.
Capacity: 60GB Style: SATA 2.5 3D
I popped this in an old Windows 7 desktop that was running an 80gb mechanical drive that the user wasn't using any space on. So I decided 60 was enough, did a clean install of windows on this drive and it's world better. I didn't do any benchmarks to get actually see real data, but just from day to day use the user says it's way faster. I noticed how much faster reboots were while working on it. Very quick inexpensive way to get a noticeable usability improvement. No issues with device working at all. I installed this a little bit ago in a machine that gets used every day and the user hasn't reported any issues with it. ... show more

  • adata usa XPG SZ930 2.5 SATA III
great lil SSD, very fast while it lasted, we had a spike from a lightning strike that didn't do much good for the lappy this was in or the SSD, but as I stated, this SSD is very fast, I put it in a desktop when I 1st got it and it hit all advertised speeds, put it in a 2 year old DELL lappy and it did not disappoint either, great upgrade to speed up a laptop for sure ... show more

  • I upgraded to win 10 during the free stage and I prefer the keyboard on this laptop to any I've used so I'm very happy to have it operating like new with no need ...
Product came well packaged and timely as usual from Amazon. I installed the drive into an aging laptop and it has brought new life. I no longer feel the need to upgrade to a new computer. Computer boots up in a few seconds as compared to minutes, programs load and information is accessed in a fraction of the time. I upgraded to win 10 during the free stage and I prefer the keyboard on this laptop to any I've used so I'm very happy to have it operating like new with no need to look at anything else for the forseeable future. If you want to boost your systems performance from a mechanical drive this is a no brainer. ... show more
