Yeah I was surprised but they really do work and perfectly. I use my Cricut Joy very rarely but I wasn't about to purchase their $$$ exclusive pens. I did purchase their Smart Vinyl though and that's where I used these pens, to make one label for homemade salsa lol. At first I was nervous because the Smart Vinyl was so shiny and I thought the pens (Sharpie Ultra Fine Point ElectroPop) would slip around and not even write, but it wrote perfectly with no missed lines. I slipped the pink sleeve on to the pen and popped it right into the Joy. Just be sure to give it a second to dry after it finishes to write! I hate the fact that the Cricut Joy cannot "color in" anything so of course you'll have to draw outlines of what you want and use the pens to color it in. In fact, that's the only concern I had because coloring things in, the paper is slippery and you wonder if the color will even stick but it does. Just make sure you read the instructions on little cards that come with this item, and your project will be perfect! ... show more

They are easy to use as you put the pen and then in the machine and go. It is a success because I can use basically any marker from a wide variety of brands. I don't have to limit myself to expensive Cricut pens. It comes with a guide to the different brands of pens that I can use. I give it a star because the material feels a bit brittle. The media could not be loaded. It comes in a tiny package of three adapters. It took me a minute to figure it out but once I got it going I was one satisfied customer. It works in the cricut joy and I used the Sharpie Ultra Fine pens.

These adapters are easy to use once you’ve read the instructions, and they’ve opened up my Cricut Joy cards to every color in the Sharpie rainbow. Saves money since Sharpies are much cheaper than Cricut pens. Highly recommend!
