This is the second pair of ad tec boots i’ve purchased my first pair I had well over 2 years before the lace hook broke of. In terms of quality of the footbed and toe and leather it’s great it’s supportive I am usually on my feet 8-10hours a day and my feet never hurt AND I’m flat footed so yes very supportive and durable HUGE CON I JUST GOT THESE IN FEBRUARY AND THE LACE HOOK BROKE I double lace and still use them but sad that the lace hardware is such low quality or hopefully a fluke ... show more

The boot is great except the hooks you wrap the string around break easily. I need boots for my job so I can't return, I'm just stuck with defective boots....I wasn't offered exchange, just return option.

These boots are durable and have good tread. Good ankle support. They're comfortable on their own, but I like to keep insoles in them for extra comfort and arch support. They're "feminine" enough without being "cutesy," which I like. Good for women who don't want lose all of their sense of femininity in a male-dominated field but also want to be taken seriously as a worker. (Hopefully that makes sense.) Cons: The lace hooks bend. I have learned to be careful with these, and I'm worried that someday they'll break off. When they bend out of place, I can manually bend them back with just my fingers. Yikes. They are pretty heavy. I don't mind the extra litte workout, but it definitely feels good to take them off after an 8+ hour day. ... show more

    • Comfortable, but not steel toe.

So I thought these were steel toe. They are not. Despite that fact, they are very comfortable right out of the box for a work boot. I work 5 days a week, 40+ hours and other than normal soreness from being on my feet all day, these were great. Pros: These boots are definitely more comfortable than the doc's I had purchased before these (doc's were too narrow). I have been wearing these for 4 weeks straight now and they have been holding up pretty well, they are pretty sturdy in the toe, but wish I'd realized when I purchased them that they weren't steel toe. I like that the sole can be repaired/replaced when they've worn down too much. Cons: They are heavy and the tongue slides to the side. Also, my laces aren't the same length... All in all, I think I'd purchase these again if I didn't need steel toe boots. But if I had known right off the bat that they weren't, I don't think I would have bought them at all. (I guess I must have read the description for the men's and just assumed the women's was the same, as I'm usually thorough in researching products before I buy them online.) Edit: I guess I initially clicked on the steel toe version of these, but somehow I ended up purchasing the non steel toe by mistake. Hopefully the steel toe version is as comfortable as these are. I have been wearing them for 6 months straight, every night to work, sometimes working 40 to 48 hours a week. They have held up quit well and are decently slip resistant on wet waxed concrete. I still like how they look and I've gotten used to the weight of them, tho after an 11 hour day, I'm ready to kick these off. ... show more

Shipping was quick. Got exactly what I ordered in that they were true to their pictured color, size, everything. Boots fit like a glove. While anyone who's had loggers knows, there is a break-in period and these aren't cushy footwear. They're designed to take a beating throughout some rough work conditions, and they will definitely do that. If you want the ability to wear insoles/padding under foot right out of the box, I'd order a 1/2 size larger -- but bear in mind that, once the boots do break-in, they will afford slightly more foot room. I wear a size 8 and I ordered size 8, and they fit like they were made for my feet. Love them! UPDATE 2022: Just wanted to follow up here, so folks who are curious about how long these boots will last. I've now had these boots for three years and have used them for logging, heavy yard work and every day. I *just* managed to break off one of the hooks on the left boot, but everything else is SOLID about these boots. Leather has held up great, including working in sand and gravel, and I did end up buying another pair exactly like these a year later, along with an additional black pair. The color, particularly these lighter brown pair, will stain over time, that is if you're actually *working* in them. They had a slight brushed finish when I originally got them, and I've now worn them to where the leather is smooth on parts of the toe, but there's still no harm to the leather, no sole splitting, heels are solid. Seriously the best boot I've ever bought....I know I'm repeating myself, but I can't say it enough, especially when folks buy something online that "looks great' only to find out they suck. These are NOT those. Totally the best! VERY IMPRESSIVE PRODUCT right outta the box. Wouldn't trade these for ANY other boots I've ever had. ... show more
