Good helmet, for airsoft definitely does its job protecting the noggin. The pad inserts get a little tight with all of them in if you take out 2 one by each ear it makes it more comfortable..

Had a slight hiccup and the first one i received had a large in a medium marked box. The seller shipped a new one that i had 1 day later. Hit and function is as expected. Holds my night vision and hearing protection with no problems. Will be great for airsoft or paint ball.

For starters I’m using the dye i5 for airsoft and I wanted something to cover my head while also being compatible with the mask. With the helmet being so modular it really helps for fitting a dye i5. Weight wise I’m not too sure since this is the first helmet I’ve bought for this. Looks great with the mesh cover though. Although fair warning to people who want to use this mask with a dye i5, get some soft fabric to protect the dye i5’s eye part from getting scratched by the helmet.

I got the medium (the smaller of the two sizes available) size and it is a loose fit on my head. If you wear a snapback hat where you have an extra hole in the plastic like I do you’ll probably need to adjust the straps. I got it to where its pretty snug after fiddling with the straps and inserts. Pros: Seems solid. I use it for distributing weight when using my digital nv handsfree (nvg30 for reference). For this purpose it excels. I don’t do paintball nor do I do serious tactical stuff or real cqb, but this thing works well for walking around the woods or night bicycle rides. Cons: These are minor gripes. I was totally lost on the strap system at first. They are fairly comfortable but they have a “silky” feel which I think standard nylon would keep their place better but maybe more uncomfortable after hours of use? The camo fabric cover thing was also a bit of a chore to get right but its pretty solid after I figured it out. The plastic picatinny and swivel doodads feel cheap, definitely not fancy polymer. The fast mount feels secure but there is some play with my device mount, maybe not even a millimeter of give but its there. If budget and use case weren’t heavy considerations and I was into more serious or action roles like airsoft or I was mounting a pvs14 I’d probably spend the extra 200 on a team wendy or hard headed veterans bump helmet or even an actual ballistic helmet. However, what I’m using it for I don’t regret it. I’m giving it 5 stars for both the price to play and it really did make me understand the importance of having balanced support for nv use and it works for that. I may upgrade later and keep this one to get a homie out there.
