This worked incredibly well to cool down my scalp and reduce itchiness. I don't think I used it as described and I just kept putting more because I kept feeling crustiness so I kept putting it on. I didn't use it just for itching. I used more than I should have and I didn't let it dry in between. This worked out well for me as it completely loosened multiple layers of skin below and I was able to comb it all off and get my scalp a bit more clear when I washed my hair. It was non-greasy despite how much I excessively put on. The cost is prohibitive if I continue to use it the way I did, but I've realized that I can spot treatment the irritated patches that need to be removed. I’m on my second bottle, after more than a year of trying everything under the sun for an itchy, flaky scalp. I’m a woman in my mid-50s, menopausal, and suffering from the itching ears and scalp that can accompany the change in hormone levels. I tried various dandruff shampoos (including those that focus on the malassezia yeast), serums, and moisturizers, but nothing really worked. One day in desperation I tried putting some plain kefir on my scalp and that actually brought some relief. That seemed like a clue that my problem was related to my scalp’s microbiome.     • Great product in a HORRIBLE DISPENSER!
I have psoriasis and this product has really helped. I try to take a break from cortisones but my skin still needs something, and this seems to moderate the irritation. However, it has the most annoying dispenser ever. It's in a bottle with a glass dropper, but the glass is too long and not sufficiently anchored to the top, such that it's always wavering back and forth like it's about to detach from the top, so that it's impossible to put lotion on my scalp with precision, and it's hard to tell how much is coming out, which means I end up wasting a lot of product, and this stuff is not cheap. Also, the bottle top that holds the glass dropper (ie the thing you squeeze) got stuck in the indented position, and there was no way to get it unstuck to use it (though it did eventually pop up again). I noticed that their oil has a little cone top and thought, oh, I'll just swap tops, but unfortunately it didn't fit. Why don't they have a cone top on the scalp serum??? They're so much easier to use to get product onto the scalp! ... show more

I use gentle shampoo to protect damage and color, and once awhile I use a more harsh clarifying shampoo on my scalp leaving it tight and itchy feeling. This serum feels like heaven! I personally love the peppermint smell, but if you don't, it doesn't last long.
