Though I like these bullet tip paint pens, I find the paint is on the thin side. It takes 2-3 coats for rich coverage. I use them to add accents to watercolor doodles and play around in my art journal… I plan to try them on some wooden rocks since I read that another reviewer had success with that substrate. What's good: - the paint flows well & gives good coverage - you don't need to pump the markers to get the ink flowing - paint dries fairly quickly - there's a good assortment of colors & most of them are unique (i.e. they aren't too similar) - come in a sturdy plastic case with a carrying handle - markers stay in their slot & are easy to remove & replace What's bad: - markers have no color names - markers have no number - most colors dry streaky What's ugly: - the markers are mislabeled as metallic, which they clearly are not Conclusion: If you don't mind that there aren't any color names or numbers or that they are mislabeled as metallic, these are good markers & I recommend them, especially for kids. My reason for deducting stars is mainly because most of them dry streaky, and also because they don't have either a name or a number, which is important to me as I sometimes like to take note of what colors I used on a project. ... show more
