This is my son's first violin, he's just starting out. That's what appealed to me about this violin: cost. If my Kiddo hated it, I didn't put too much of an investment into it. That's about all the appeal it had. The case came with mold on the outside of it, meaning that it was stored somewhere with moisture. The horsehair on the bow kept breaking, so I ended up purchasing a higher end carbon fiber bow for around $50. We've had it for a week, no hair lost vs the bow this violin came with has lost about 5 or 6 hair within the span of a single week. The violin comes with rosin, a bridge you must install yourself, and some very finicky strings. Like many other reviews, mine would slip free when tightening though I think that was a user error issue. Be sure to purchase a tuner. Ours has stayed in tune for the most part, but it doesn't hurt to have on hand. ... show more

I was so excited to get this red violin for my son’s birthday. Unfortunately his violin teacher says that this is a terrible violin. Really awful. Our was missing some piece, the bow they sent us was not even new!! Do yourself a favor; save your time and money and DO NOT BUY this violin.

Time will tell how well this Violin holds up. Set it up, tuned it, no fine tuning done yet as far as Bridge/Top fitting is concerned. Sound Post seems OK for now (no Fiddle tools yet).. Worst beginner "issue" for me was preparing the Horse hair thing with Rosin (ARLX used)...

I got this product for my first grader. Basically it wasn’t working when we took it to her school (very bad quality no sound ) , so, yes complete embarrassment! So I asked for a refund and I’m currently basically getting the runaround for it. But I’m very thankful that Amazon themselves even though it was not there fought is reimbursing me ,what a complete waste of time with this company! The wooden (white small wood price)part is not properly installed and in my city they are asking 2 months to repair and $70 to repair while I bought this for $50. But the price is too good as any similar size violin in local shops are north of $400

Beautiful violin, but I had to have a new bridge made for it because it was too big and new strings installed before I could really play it. Good for the price, but you end up paying full price after all the work is done with it. Still love it, but probably won’t but another online. Local only
