Definitely not a close substitute for a log splitter. Didn’t work the way I thought it would, but I don’t have a Hilti or Bosch hammer drill to do the job.

Works good taking very small (and dry) logs. Anything slightly big and it will get jammed and it is a bear to get out.

    • Don't believe the hype
In order for this to really work, your logs needs to be bone dry and already split, cut, halved, sliced - you name it. It does not work like the video, which is a huge bummer. Get yourself a chainsaw instead.

My father and son both tried this bit set. It was impossible to keep the wood from spinning or getting stuck.

I got this as a gift for my husband and when he tried to use it the word spun and hurt his ankle. This does not work!! We couldn’t get it to go through the word let alone crack it

this is a rip off. I was so excited to purchase. It almost burned up my drill. got stuck in the log. did not do any job it was suppose to do. so upset. Did everything it said to do verbatim I tried 4 different size logs. very upset! Do not purchase

    • Worthless
It buries itself into the log and then locks itself in. When attempting to back it out, the spiral tip just unscrews from the bit in the drill. I tried with both a battery drill and a heavy duty corded one, both ended with the same results.
