I was a little worried because of some iffy reviews about installation and performance. One instructional video talked about how to get a bolt off behind the bumper that was a nightmare. I found it so much easier just to take the bumper off. It's only held on my a few screws and a ton of those push clips. Overall, it took me an hour and a half to replace these. Aiming them was easy, but the adjustment screw is not as nice as the OEM ones. The OEM ones, the screwdriver fits perfectly under the gear. These you have to jam the screwdriver in it and when it spins, it scrapes away the plastic, but works. Just a heads up for anyone trying it, just use some muscle to get that screwdriver in there. As far as the fit, I didn't have any issue like others may have said (I have a base model 2011 Tacoma single cab). The top tabs weren't as snug or rigid as OEM, but it still mounted without issue and I'm confident with it's installation. These headlamps went in exactly like the original equipment. They adjust correctly and are nice and clear and bright. Replace 13-year-old faded, yellowed and crazed originals. It’s amazing what I can see down the road now! Only advice is to purchase new side marker light holders/sockets. Your originals will be very brittle and tend to break upon removal. Of note: these do not come with bulbs or sockets. Addendum: for major rain and passenger side now has moisture inside. Poor seals. ... show more

I am not a mechanic by trade, so after watching multiple youtube videos I mustered up the courage to attempt the install. Blind bolts are most challenging part. It is a tight fit and not much hand space to work with, but doable. For an inexperienced person, I would not classify this as a simple replacement, but if you take your time and have patience, it is actually pretty manageable. The headlights themselves fit perfect and it was very simple to transfer the bulbs to the new lights. They look outstanding!!!! My 09 Tacoma had its original headlights and it was time. Old ones were very cloudy and I was not up for another round of wet sanding to try to bring them back to life. I am hopeful they will withstand moisture and give me years of brand new look. Lights look great. Installation for this amateur went well with the help of a few YouTube videos. Bloody knuckles and some cursing got the job done. One bolt is particularly difficult to reach, tucked way back behind the wheel well. No new bulbs were included with these and I read some others come with new bulbs. this would have been helpful as I had to run to the auto parts store for one burnt out headlight (reason for the purchase in the first place) and two daytime running lights and panel clips. Fitting these in is tricky, but not too time consuming. (entire project including trip to auto parts store, removal of old, installation, and aiming = 3hrs) I feel that since I am a complete novice to anything car maintenance, anyone could do this install. Once installed, aiming had to be performed. the two adjustment bolts/screws were easy to find and somewhat easy to reach. Again with the help of YouTube, I had the lights positioned appropriately and was road worthy. I will return to this review if there are any problems. Until then, if there are no edits to this post... I highly recommend this product. looks good. functions well. priced decent. Perfect fit. ... show more

I read the reviews so I went in with a plan. However, even after using silicone to try and keep water out these poorly manufactured lights, leaked after 2 days of rain. Install was not easy because of a hard to reach bolt. (Toyota's fault) but that does make it so I can't swap them out quickly. Great!!! I look forward to next spring when I can try again with a better product. They look fine at first glance but after closer inspection of the seams there is no way there was any type of quality control happening. (Again before I glued them myself.) Yes, I am the stupid one for trusting that I might just make them work. One of my lights was broken from an accident so I was trying to get the truck back on the road. Don't buy these unless where you live never rains and or you never plan on washing your truck again. ... show more

They look nice and fit well. However, the light pattern is terrible. If not for good fog lights, the headlights alone would be insufficient. Good price, good look, poor light pattern.

Installed 3 months ago and seem to be holding up good so far. May review again in a year. I did put led bulbs in and they are pretty bright.
