  • Pretty impressive
Style: 120W Solar Panel
I used this solar panel with a battery controller and portable power station that I already had. I did have to order an adapter to fit my power station, but that was to be expected and only cost $8. The panel itself is very durably made and when folded, it's very easy to pack up for going remote. The efficiency of the panel seems quite decent, as it can usually top up my power station rather easily. Initially, it has a strong smell but after leaving it unfolded in the sun for a day the smell went away. I've held off doing a review to make sure it stayed functional and can say for sure- it's durable and provides quite a bit of power. ... show more

  • Great option if weight and minimal packaging are biggest needs. Conditionally Recommended
When I first saw the listing for EAST OAK's Green Pulse 120W Solar Panel, I was a little confused. A 120W PV panel for $300? Crazy. Except, it's not. You see, I come from the perspective of using fixed panels, where you can get between 1 to 2 watts per dollar. However, when my sister got a 1kWh battery pack/inverter/PV charger unit, she was not interested in having a fixed panel. Instead, she wanted to have a foldable panel she could put out on her deck in the event that she had an extended power outage. That's how I ended up coming back to the Green Pulse. The Green Pulse doesn't have a heavy-duty hard case built-in, but my sister has limited mobility, so the lighter 10lb weight helps out quite a bit. In operation, I'd say that the panel is easy to deploy. The kickstands are a little fussy, but that's partially a byproduct of the unit's light construction. It's a good tradeoff in my sister's case, but YMMV. Even though her power station uses XT60, the included adapter kept me from having to buy a $15 part elsewhere. Her power station has reported up to about 105-110W coming off of the panel. My surface-level research indicated that the price range for panels in this power output segment is about $230-300, putting the Green Pulse at the high end of the range. Is it worth it? It depends... if weight and mobility are primary concerns, I think this is probably the best option available. If you need a particularly rugged solution, you should probably look elsewhere. • Portable solar panel
Style: 120W Solar Panel
I had to get an adapter to actually use with my particular power station but that's not a big deal. The solar panel is okay weight wise, and it definitely folds up nice and is portable. I like the shadow gauge to help you optimize the best light to get it to charge the best. Works well, it does take a bit of time, but totally beats having to charge my power station by normal electricity all the time. I want to try it out to charge other things down the road to see how well it'll do. Right now I'm definitely happy with this and it helps me go a little more off grid. ... show more

  • Nice Quality 120w Portable Solar Panel.. Works Well to Charge Your Portable Power Station Batteries
Style: 120W Solar Panel
This is a nicely made portable solar panel. When folded, it is comparable in size to other panels with similar wattage. Each panel in this configuration is a little more flexible than other panels that I have. That could be considered a pro and a con. The flexibility makes for a panel that may be less likely to break when struck with an object, but it makes it just a little harder to point to the sun as it is less rigid. This is not a show stopper for me, however. The panel output is just fine. The output cable on this panel has the typical MC4 connectors. There is also an MC4 to XT60 adapter cable. All of my power stations do not accept the XT60 connector, but I already have MC4 to DC 8mm cables. So, I just hooked up the panel to my adapter cable, plugged it into my power station batteries and let the charge begin. The panel has a decent output, and of course, it will vary depending on the amount of sunlight hitting the panels. Ratings are typically stated as being under ideal sunlight conditions which are often not the case in real life. This solar panel has a sundial to help you to point the panels towards the sun. The flip out standing “brackets” on the back are comparable to other brands of panels. They work but they are not rigid so they may appear a bit flimsy to some people. This panel set folds up nicely and has magnets to hold everything in place. There is a zippered storage pouch for your cables and it has sufficient space for a few extra adapters and cables. You cannot plug your phone, etc. directly into this panel as there is no provision for that. Other panels in this price range do have that provision so shop accordingly. I got this to charge my power stations, not my phone. I can charge my phone from the power station. This is a good solar panel for your charging needs as long as you are charging your power stations and not your phone directly. ... show more

  • Green Pulse Solar Panel, 120W Portable Solar Panels review
Style: 120W Solar Panel
This 120W portable solar panel performs really well even in the 90F temperature today, I get 106W going into my Bluetti EB70, the is about 88% of the 120W rating, if you can get more than 75% from your solar panel it is really good especially on a hot day. I wish it came with the protective case. At $299, it is a really high price for 120W panel, that is the only thing I do not like about this panel, it should be less than $200. ... show more
