  • Works great with Vivosun
I have an almost complete set of Vivosun equipment, but the AC Infinity IONFRAME EVO4 light just worked better in my 3x3 tent than anything Vivosun had at the time. So I had total tent control (E42 Controller) except for my AC Infinity light. This fixes that...mostly. I assume the limitation is the RJ11 connection, but the light is either all on (100%) or off. That's okay, but I was hoping to be able to control the light with a little more precision. Regardless, this little device is perfect for connecting my AC Infinity light to my controller and being able to run growing programs that control the whole tent. This is a bit of a game-changer for me and I highly recommend it. It comes with a long RJ11 cable and is a breeze to set-up. It also includes a USB-C connector (Female to Female) as pictured. This would be used to join two USB-C cables together to lengthen their reach. I'm not sure how it applies in this configuration, but it is included. ... show more

  • Does what you’d expect
I’m a big fan of ac infinity gear and I had several smaller lights over my mothers that I figured would be much easier to control off of one controller. It does the job exactly like you’d expect, not much else I can say. This allows you to connect mutiple after market lights using rj11 to one controller output. Makes it really nice for controlling a lot of of lights off of one controller, you can even dedicate a controller to lights and have 4 separate schedules. Either way it works well in many configurations and I am happy that ac infinity has made it easy for us to use lights from other manufacturers. ... show more

  • RJ11 to UIS - read on to find out about the RJ11 compatability confusion
Grow lights often advertise an RJ11 port. The problem is that RJ11 ports on grow lights come in a couple different varieties (there isn't a standard). The Type-A is for for lights with PWM and 0-10V current sourcing dimming and Type-B is for lights with resistor dimmers. The bad news is you have to know what type of RJ11 you have. If you look at products with RJ11 reviews you may note that some people complain that they don't work when in reality they would work if they had the correct type of RJ11. AC Infinity solved this problem with their products by creating their patent pending UIS bus. AC Infinity also has an adapter that will go from UIS to RJ11 Type-A, UIS to RJ11 Type-B so you can control your lights (or whatever) with the AC Infinity controller. AC Infinity also has an RJ11 2-in-1 daisy chaining adapter which will allow an RJ11 controller to control an AC Infinity product by converting the RJ11 to UIS. This review covers the RJ11 2-in-1 daisy chaining adapter. PIC1 (I have labeled each picture in the upper right corner because they never appear in the order I add them to the review) shows what you get. This includes the 2-in-1 daisy chaining adapter, a female to female UIS adapter, a 10 foot RJ11 cord and an instruction card. PIC2 shows the RJ11 daisy chaining ports. PIC3 shows the UIS connector. PIC4 shows the UIS female to female adapter. PIC5 shows 1 side of the instruction card. This shows that you can connect the RJ11 controller to the input of the daisy chaining port and the output to another adapter or RJ11 compatible device. My question when I saw this is what type of RJ11 port (Type-A or Type-B) is required for this product? I searched around and couldn't find an answer then I sent an email to AC Infinity customer support. I waited 1 week then sent them another email which they answered right away. However, it did not answer my question so I sent another email. Its been another week and I have not received an answer to that email. After that I happened to be looking at the instruction card again - look at PIC6. The purpose of PIC6 is to show how you can use the UIS to UIS adapter which they provide. They also state on this side of the card, "To connect to a UIS controller you must use a UIS Type-A lighting adapter. Because of this statement I am going to assume that the RJ11 ports of the adapter I am reviewing requires an RJ11 Type-A on its input. I cannot verify this because AC Infinity customer support has not answered my question and I don't have a RJ11 Type-A controller. The lack of a standard for RJ11 connectors on grow lights is a problem. AC Infinity has created a UIS bus and adapters to and from it. I am assuming this adapter would work but because they have bad customer support I was not able to get an answer to my question. I am going to give them a 4 rating because of their bad customer support and assume the adapter would otherwise work. Bottom line is if you have products with RJ11 connectors (I have one on a grow light I have but have never used it to control the light) you need to dig into what type of RJ11 you have before buying another RJ11 grow light or controller (I have read about some manufacturers that have both Type-A and Type-B RJ11 grow lights). Or you can simply skip all the confusion and use the AC Infinity UIS bus. ... show more

  • Cool to control UFO lights
I got this to make my 69pro controller useful for the 0-10v dimmable lights I have. Most of my lights are compatible with this. So next time I veg, I can have all the lights the same levels.

  • Perfect
This is perfect for connecting multiple ionbeam lightbar sets together with a UIS controller. I got a UIS type A lighting adapter and it functioned well and fulfilled my needs. I wanted all of my supplemental lights to turn on and off at the same time but ran out of ports, this fixed that issue for me instantly. Great quality, from a great brand - as expected! ... show more
