Only giving it a 4 star because I was under the impression that the kennel part itself was 40 inches. I did tons of research and this was the best option only to find out that the kennel part was shorter than I had measured. The pictures of the dogs are definitely incorrect. I have a 50lb GSD that cannot stand normally in the kennel. I bought 2 kennels - one kennel the door screw and hole were completely off so we can’t use the door handle on one side. I like that it’s big enough for my puppy, I dislike that when my puppy moves you can hear the metal. I feel the crate wasn’t so loud. It doesn’t come with a tray or any pad and haven’t been successful finding something that covers the bottom. Overall he like it.

    • Instructions Are Insane

The crate is very cute once put together! However, it takes forever to assemble and the instructions are poor at best. I had to use both the paper instructions and the video in order to put this together. Even after all of that work, one of the doors is slightly lower than the other, making it difficult to lock it. I love they was this looks in my great room, perfect for hiding the fact that we have a dog Crate in the room. It was semi-easy to put together once you figured out how/where the pieces were labeled. My dog is medium in height and I purchased the biggest size they offered. The crate itself is smaller than described and my dogs hates this crate. So much that he was trying to get out and started to damage the piece. I had to set up our old crate so he would be comfortable. Not sure what I am going to do with this purchase. ... show more

    • Really dissapointing for the money

So to start the assembly requires 2 people and the instructions have no words so that's great. One of the doors came out of the box with a dent. Assembly isn't overly difficult, but there are a TON of improvements they could make to make it significantly more efficient. The hinges for the doors are extraordinarily concerning, they barely reach to hold the door in and it's relying mostly on gravity to hold together. I would absolutely NEVER trust this with a dog that will try to escape a crate. It doesn't feel secure in the slightest. The doors don't fit in the opening properly and I can't open the left door which, for my space, is the door I need to open... The latches on that one don't line up and I got the pins wedged in, but I won't be able to open it without unscrewing the cuff that receives the pin. To fix this I'll have to drill holes in a new location to attach those cuffs properly. The magnets don't meet up with doors, they're completely above the top edge of the doors. The top pin for the right door, which is the door I can use, is the only one that's easy to manipulate. The bottom one on that door also doesn't line up well, but with a little extra effort it is usable. Overall the materials are a great quality, but the fit needs serious adjustment. For the money, I am EXTREMELY disappointed in what I'm left with. A crate that's only partially usable for ONLY calm dogs that won't challenge the doors. ... show more

Really well made! I was surprised at how heavy the wood was, I'm used to flimsy "engineered wood" I these kind of pieces. This stuff was sturdy and heavy. Went together easily. This was a larger kennel for our 5 month Schnauzer, he loves it. Can stretch out and stand up in it. I took a chance since there weren't many reviews and I'm glad I did!
