    • Perfect fit for an Optoma HD26
This replacement projector lamp with housing was a perfect fit to replace the lamp on our Optoma HD26 projector. The original bulb had a little over 3900 hours on it and was still working fine at shorter distances, but had lost enough brightness that it would look dim when we would project a very large image, especially when compared to projectors with much newer bulbs. Installation was very simple. The product package included a white glove for the user to wear so they don't accidentally get skin oils on the bulb, but there is no reason to touch any glass or other sensitive areas if one is careful. They also provided a cheap screwdriver but I used my own. It was nice that they included those items though, because the package really does contain everything required to perform the lamp replacement. The lamp replacement took me just a couple of minutes. I definitely suggest carefully using a can of compressed air and a vacuum to clean the dust out of the projector because any projector with several thousand hours on it will contain a fair amount of dust. Also, be sure to allow the bulb to fully cool before attempting replacement. The instructions say to wait an hour, which could be overkill depending on the ambient temperature, but I waited 30-40 minutes while I did other things. For the price, I am certainly satisfied with this lamp from ABITAN. I have only tested the new bulb for about an hour so far. ABITAN claims to provide a 200 day warranty, which I don't expect to benefit from as this is a backup projector and probably won't see 10 hours of use before 200 days passes. I would love it if the warranty could be based on hours of use, but I realize that would be extremely difficult to prove. ... show more
