We have 2 dogs (1, a 70 lb. lab and the other, a smaller 20 lb.'er with short legs). We take them with us when going in the car, where they both love to poke their noses out the window - or at least the big guy can do that but the little one isn't tall enough. Plus, she can't see out the windows and any sudden stops has her struggling to keep her balance. This pad/bed solved the problems. It added enough height so she can see out, while at the same time closing the opening between the front and back seats so she doesn't fall forward or lose her balance while standing on her back legs, trying to see between the front seats. She can also rest her chin between the front seats for extra comfort but it still prevents her from jumping into the front seats. And, best of all, she is tall enough now to poke her nose out the window and enjoy the air. Happy dogs. Here it is. I know you are all scanning this review column. I know all you dog moms and puppy pappys are sick and tired of the flimsy hammock style back seat canopies. Where you have to hang it here and clip it there. And it ends up looking like wrinkled crap even when the picture made you believe otherwise! I just bought a brand new CRV and was desperately going through product after product to find something that works for my German Shepherd, but also looks nice. I’m so glad I went with this. The extension over the seat helps give her so much more room. Yeah I still have to vacuum my car twice a week but that’s the price of a GSD and their shedding. This thing is comfortable and looks classy. Highly highly recommend. Also, the dog seat belt easily comes over the gap. I actually prefer this to those canopies with the “seat belt hole”… which just turns into a dog hair pit. Buy it!!! ... show more

I did not receive door cover that the photos indicate. Overall, I'm pleased with this product. My dogs appreciate the extra standing room and no longer worry about falling off the seat. This will also help me in cleaning the dog hair out of the car. I was a bit disappointed that the product did not come with the net to separate the front seat. The info did not indicate that it would be included, but I came to that conclusion looking at the photos. ... show more

I got this to try in the backseat of our 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness we just got. I have a bad back and hoped to lay it out at rest stops along our journey so I could rest a while. This fits fine as far as the general area, however, because the fronts of the seats are raised this bed won't go flat enough. Also, this bed is very hard and it hurt just to try to lay down on it. I am returning this since it doesn't work for me. I think it would be best for: car/truck seats that are flatter to begin with, people who aren't in chronic pain and can handle the hardness, or dogs. ... show more

More comfortable than sleeping on either the back seat or a fully reclined front seat. I'm a 5' foot tall female using it in a Subaru Crosstrek. I've used this mattress nearly a dozen times and it's held up well so far. The built-in cushioning is about on par with a yoga mat on hardwood if you have the dinosaur pattern facing up, less than that with the pleather side up. The longest I've used this mattress is three nights in a row and I did not have any back pain. I recommend this for shorter people, but I suspect that it's usefulness drops off quickly as one approaches 6' in height. ... show more

This falls short in my GMC Sierra. A couple inches shy from the center console and on each door. I had to fill the cap by the center console so my pup doesn't fall through.
