50+ year old male. Over the last 30 years I have had multiple abdominal surgeries. Lymph node, incisional hernia X3, bowel obstruction. This binder offers more support than any other I have used or have been prescribed. the velcro has amazing grip. Once your strapped in the binder and anything its hold in isn't moving. Most recently I had 4 incisional hernias one the size of a cantaloupe another the size of a baseball and smaller one from my pelvis to my sternum. I used this binder Pre-Opt to basically hold myself together until I was healthy enough for surgery. Post-Opt I wore this binder and it really kept everything together. Helped with everyday moving around, when I would sneeze or cough. It was a life saver. In addition to that it helped shape and form all the loose skin once the hernias were repaired. I ordered one size down because I knew Pre-Opt I really need to everything inside. I also prefer a tight fit. I hope this helps someone. ... show more

I had pretty extensive abdominal surgery an I bought this to replace the one they put on after surgery, it’s great to hold you in really tight .. it’s stiff a keeps you feeling secure .. my surgeon saw it yesterday while removing my drains an gave it a thumbs up .. I got this after a tummy tuck when the original binder/compression garment my doctor gave me became too large. I'm a bit disappointed since it isn't very supportive. It feels like wearing skinny jeans rather than a compression garment (not a good thing). The only part that feels supportive is the part where the secondary bands are. ... show more

I am so glad I got this product! It was the only way I was able to walk to the bathroom after my hysterectomy. I was given a folded blanket to hold against my stomach to help but this made it totally hands free and gave much more support. It stays in place and held up my big ol belly just as I needed it to! I was using this binder for presurgical period before navel hernia surgery to help me stand up straight. Amazing at doing that, when you have next to nothing for core muscles, you need a helper band! I bought this for my husband after surgery to remove cancer. The scar is huge...about a foot long. He has tried two other bands. They worked, but this band is far superior because of the two pieces of fabric that wrap around for extra support. He's been wearing a band for over three years and will probably need to wear it for several more years for comfort. He's glad to have this band and highly recommends it. ... show more
