  • Great light pad!
Size: 03 - B4
Ideal size for my work area, super slim, and I like that it’s dimmable. Sensitive touch control, works great. Great price, too. Thanks for the handy storage sleeve!

  • Game Changer for project!
Size: 01 - 13”x 9”
This thing is awesome, I just got it a few days ago but I love it so far. I am an artist and for speed purposes I need this to trace out the basic shapes and placements of things, so I am using watercolor paper and the brightness of this light goes through WATERCOLOR PAPER! That is awesome. This is a game changer for me. The various light settings on these are so helpful in my process. It is great in size as well . I am so excited that I can move on quickly with my projects now. If anything changes, I will update later but, SO FAR,SO GOOD!! Oh and the weight of this light box is great not too heavy, and it's way thicker than the last one I had . Huge plus!! This will definitely help my drawing speed. It can be plugged in as well. ... show more

  • Excellent and bright light pad for tracing garment patterns
Size: 05 - A2
I bought this light pad for tracing my garment patterns onto separate paper, so I don't have to cut my originals. I just received this and have only used it to trace 3 pattern pieces, but I am super pleased! The light is quite bright. I almost bought the A1 size, but went with the A2 instead and I'm so glad I went down a size. The A2 is plenty big enough for a standard bodice front or back. I did have to scooch things a bit for a sleeve pattern, but it was a non-issue. A reviewer mentioned the power cord that sticks out from the frame is unprotected and they were right. I plugged things in, then picked up the unit and immediately pulled the plug apart - DOH! No damage done, but I taped my cord to the edge of the frame with black Gorilla tape and it works nicely that way. Now when I'm distracted I will still likely pull the plug apart, but the end that meets the frame won't suffer any trauma. I also preferred this frame as it comes with an adapter plug not a USB and it is not a rechargeable unit. I can see the usefulness of those features for someone else, but for me this is the better option. They provide 4 clips that are nice and strong, although I don't know if i will have a use for them. Time will tell. I love the light settings. There are 5 levels of brightness and you can lock them so you don't bump the button and accidentally change things or turn off the unit. The light pad came in a very sturdy slender box (only 1.5") that had a foam frame around the device. Since I can't leave it set up, I will use the box and padding for storage. ... show more

  • Nice light tablet for the price.
Size: 03 - B4
This is very nice light tablet. It works great with the different brightness settings and easy to adjust with a light touch. Great size for the price. The tablet is very thin and lightweight making it a great portable light source. The negative... Has usb power cord but does NOT come with a charging block..this item is NOT rechargeable and must be plugged into a power supply at all times to work. Would give 5 stars if I didn't have to supply my own usb power block ... show more

  • Early impression: great little light table
Size: 02 - A4
Executive Summary (TL;DR): For $20 USD, this is a pretty killer deal if you need a light box: it is very slim and lightweight, the metal frame is quite sturdy, the light is bright and adjustable, and you can power it using using regular wall AC or USB power brick. Details: These are my very early impressions having used the light table for about a week, so they may change over time. If they do, I'll post an update. I bought this for tracing: I have photos that I would like to turn into pen and watercolor paintings. It is easy in Adobe Photoshop to open an image, duplicate the image layer, apply the Find Edges filter, then add a Black and White adjustment layer to get a very usable line tracing from the image. Add a Curves adjustment layer to dial in contrast. Voila! a printable line drawing from an image. Thing is, I'm a complete noob at this and my pen and ink skills are still a bit shaky (I was going to say sketchy...). I'm using the light board to trace the more technical parts of the drawing. So far, I've been pretty pleased with the results. Here are the things that I really like about this: - as others have said, the light is quite bright and it is adjustable - it is very slim, lightweight, and easily portable - the version I bought came with a longish power cable and a power adapter, which I appreciate - the two plastic clips don't feel very sturdy, but they work well holding an image and tracing paper to the board - it is possible to "lock" the on/off and light adjustment / dimmer buttons, which are exquisitely sensitive to touch and easy to inadvertently activate (they should have been placed along the top where the user is less likely to brush up against them) - press the Up and Down dimmer buttons at the same time and hold for 3 seconds - the light will blink and the buttons will be locked - do this again to unlock the buttons - it comes with a very lightweight non-woven bag with a carrying handle - it's nothing I would use for transport, but it can be used as a dust cover - you can power it using the USB adapter or just plug it into a USB power brick - I like the flexibility I will say that if you are using 300 gsm / 140 lb paper - especially cold pressed paper with significant texture - it can be a bit challenging to see detail even at the highest light intensity. I'm guessing that slightly lighter paper (100 lb) with a smooth surface like hot press might work a bit better. You'll definitely want to experiment a bit. I would also say that if you were planning to throw this in a backpack or book bag, you might want to invest in some type of sleeve or carrying case to keep all of the bits and bobs together and keep the screen from getting scratched up. Recommendations: Preliminarily, I can recommend this without hesitation: If you're looking for an inexpensive, reasonably sturdy and bright light box, this is definitely worth considering. ... show more
