Sorry for the late review. The power steering pump worked great for my 2003 Chevy Tahoe. I was using about 2 bottles a week to fill my old pump before I bought this one. Problem solved I also had to get a line because he line had a hole in it also. Thanks again

Once installed, but without the serpentine belt on it, I spun it up (with a driver/drill) to prime it and get fluid flowing through it before starting the engine up to spin it. After getting the serpentine belt on it and the front of the truck up on jack stands, working the steering back and forth from stop to stop got the fluid pumping. I wish I had done this even more, but I only did the steering end-to-end a few times. So when I test drove the truck I could feel pulsing in the steering as the pump was working. Over time, though, and over 100 or 200 miles the system finally got out all the air and it's smooth again. It may not be OEM-pump smooth, but it's certainly good enough. The whole reason I had to change the pump, though, was because my power steering cooler rusted (which I'm learning is very common in these) and blew a leak when I was in the middle of nowhere. I had no choice but to drive the truck 100 miles back with no power steering fluid in the original pump. Learn from me, and change out your power steering cooler before it rusts through.

Bought this pump for my 5.3. When I tried to install that’s when I noticed this company uses helicoil to cover up the damaged bolt threads. Naturally the heal coil fell out onto the ground and now o have to buy a different pump or buy more parts to fix this pump. I would recommend buying a different brand to avoid more work and expense for yourself later.
