  • Aluminum fittings
As far as fitment, this is an exact fit for the radiator I took out. This is NOT a job for sissies! I am 71 years old and have been been doing my own repairs since I was 16, but unlike the Avalon radiator replacement I recently did this requires removing the entire front end. AND all the hose clamps are placed with the release in the worst possible place. There were two hoses we just had to force off because we couldn't get to the clamps, and the radiator can't be removed with the hoses on. But that's not the fault of this part. I removed one star because the fittings for the transmission lines are aluminum, though I imagine all non-oem radiators are like this. They have to be connected by the end user and since they are aluminum you have to be mindful of how much you tighten them or they will strip. My grandson and I didn't get them tight enough initially and after it was all reassembled we found that we were leaking oil, so we had to disassemble it all a second time. In the first picture you can see the new and old match perfectly, and the fittings are laying on the floor ready to connect. The send shows the Murano with the front end pulled off. The third is my grandson straining to get the rusty bolts out of the battery tray; two of them broke off. The fourth is him under the car. ... show more
