Bought it for a '07 RX350. Did not install it myself because I'm no masochist but my guy had no problem putting it in and he didn't even believe me when I told him the price. And delivered it to a porch while it was raining and didn't have a roof..... Box in the alternator was damaged I installed it and it didn't work and they wouldn't give me a refund

2008 Highlander 3.5l v6. This was a royal pain to put in ! It took me hrs and when I removed radiator and a/c a bolt broke off of a/c line. Have yet to fix. Have to work on my vehicles outside. Lot's of rain and I work at a job on non rain days. But I did see reviews that said they were quoted $1,000. by repair shop and I can see why ! So I saved (paid myself) $800+ minus a/c fix. I'm conservative and count ALL hours i spend on a job ( as you should) but taking tools out to work area and back and chasing after another tool or to harbor freight for a flex head ratchet etc and cleaning up after each hr or so I had to work on it, it took me approximately 15 hrs. which figures to around $50/hr for self. Though I did not keep track, it's not bad pay for a shade tree 'not-quite-so-sure-of-what-he's-doing' guy. I went back to records they gave me when I bought vehicle a year ago and alternator had been replaced 30k ago ! Must have a bad diode, guessing. I will try to learn something by opening it up and researching it. PS Note; I used a battery booster to run the engine in order to drive it home when engine quit. My batt booster has paid for itself 4 times it's cost to date and it is still working. Make sure your hood is secure if you try this with the booster. We've done this three times over the yrs and saves a tow bill worth several boosters.

sold as new and looks new. fits well. passed tests. OBD reading range from max low 14.1V - 14.8V max peak average 14.2 - 14.6V (remember to move the 12mm clip from old alternator to new)
