My dog LOVES this... I love it because it allows him to relax and lay down while I'm driving. I got it for his safety, and if he chooses to sit up or sit on the edge (does your dog do this?? I find it bizarre), of course he isn't as safe. But, I do think it has prevented him from flying under the dash a few times. I have a Boston Terrier and he likes to rub his head in it and roll around sometimes, so there's plenty of space. I also keep a towel in it for when he wants to scratch something up to nest, but thr towel is also good for when he has his UTI and has to pee before I get back to the car. The whole thing was fairly easy to assemble. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't really seem washable. I'm afraid the bottom will be deformed or warped if I try washing it. ... show more

I have a 9 month old kitten who loves going on trips with me but always hated the car ride there and tended to get car sick in her back seat carrier. Putting her in the front seat at an elevated height so she can look out was the best decision I made. She’s much more comfortable and there’s enough room that I can put her favorite blanket around her so she can sleep on the ride over. Best of all… she doesn’t get car sick at all anymore. The small one could use a little more room and the large one takes up to much space in the back seat, so I settled for the small one right now. ... show more

This just arrived in the mail today (8/1/18). I am not often totally impressed with an item....and this is one of those rare moments. I have another dog booster seat that is just a big cushion with fluffy material. It's bulky and when not in use, just takes up space and gets put in the basement. When I found this reversible seat that also folds up and gets packed away in its own carry bag, I thought "no fricken way". I am so impressed with this that I took the time to take every picture possible that I thought would help someone else to decide on this seat. Now, I haven't used it, so I can't comment on it's durability....but I will be sure to add to my note sometime in the future. I have 3 dogs, all ankle biters ranging from 5 lbs (puppy) to 27 lb (Teddy, the model in the pics). Teddy fits quite comfortably in this "small" version of the seat. With my car, I found that the dog seat fit much more securely in the back seat. My front seats are contoured so it didn't allow for a snug, secure fit. It still fit ok and likely would be fine, though, in the front, if it was necessary. It was terribly easy to unpack, reverse the cushion, zip up and put in place. There is a strap to wrap up and around the head rest and 2 straps to feed the seat belt though in the back. Seemed a good idea and secure. Little bonus: a small leash clip attached right to seat to help keep the pups in place. May be kind of short if just using that attachment. I also have a harness that fits onto my dog and has attachment points on the back of it. Allows that leash attachment to work even better....giving a little more space to move but not too much. Overall, totally happy with this product and plan to buy another one. (Although, I do wish there were more color options.) ... show more

I bought this for my puppy when I got him at 8 weeks old. He is 4 months old now and still loves it! There is still plenty of room for him to grow, but he likes being able to spread out. It must be very comfortable because everytime i take him somewhere he ends up falling asleep while I drive! Depending on how big he gets i might consider getting a bigger size but this seems to work for now. It is very easy to assemble and strap into my car. I usually leave it in my back seat ready for our next adventure but if I need the extra seat the case it comes in is nice to have. As for sturdiness, using BOTH the seat belt strap and the clip for around the seat is best. I put it in a different car only using the seat belt strap and it was not as secure or stable. ... show more

My dog would prefer not to be contained but he rode for seven hours in this car seat. I put it in the passenger seat next to me. For his safety it would probably have been better to have him in the back seat but I wanted to be able to pet him. And then within an hour of leaving the house, he spit up in it. The mess would have been worse if he had been in the back seat. I like it that there's a strap connecting to his collar and the seat belt. He still had enough room to turn around when he wanted. I had been looking for a booster seat for my ~12 pound dog. Most options hang from the headrest, which doesn’t seem safe and can’t work for my seats, which don’t have headrests. My Smart Fortwo actually places a lot if constraints on possible booster seats. There’s no back- seat, so the booster has to fit in the trunk in case there is a passenger, or the passenger seat in case there is not. I wanted the booster to be secured somehow for both options. The strap works perfectly for that. The booster-seat fits behind the front seats, in the trunk, and can be strapped to the driver or passenger seat. This booster also has loops for the seat-belt when in the passenger seat. The design of the item is well thought through as well. Love that it collapses together to fit into its bag. Great for those of us who don’t have a lot of space. I just wish the quality were a little better, for the price. ... show more
