A friend of mine installed this for me who is a very good mechanic. His opinion of it is very good, and he had no problem installing it. I've had NO problems with leaks. I think it's a good quality part that is very dependent upon the skill of the DIY installer for the installation to be successful. The Chrysler 3.6 engine is plagued with the original plastic filter housings failing. Until now the only option was OEM plastic for big buck$ or cheap aftermarket plastic ones that didn't last long at all. Finally a better solution......this aluminum unit. The packaging is simple but presentation is very nice and makes the product appear cared for. I feel like when a company cares about packaging and protecting their product, then there is also care about the quality of said product. This filter housing comes in a plain cardboard box with a protective foam and plastic interior keeping everything safe and secure. This aluminum filter housing includes everything needed to replace it. The package includes the pre-assembled housing with oil filter installed as well as the oil temperature and pressure sensors. Also included is mounting bolts and the lower intake and upper plenum seals. Being a professional automotive technician, I have replaced 100's of these filter housings. I prefer to use genuine Mopar replacements but there's times when that is not a viable option due to price or availability. As long as this unit lasts, I will be using these from now on when the need arises. **NOTE** I strongly recommend (as I do), swapping out the original sensors from the old housing as I've had too many FAULTY new aftermarket sensors which requires doing the job over again to replace. Tips when installing: properly lubricate the o-ring on the portion that fits into the engine and properly and evenly torque all bolts to factory specs. Also be careful with the upper plenum bolts as they can strip easily if not torqued to the recommended 8-9 NM. Also, make sure to remove the installed oil filter and inspect it. I have received units with broken filters and I had to purchase a new one. So far, I am impressed with this housing and it is working great. It was installed on a 2014 Grand Cherokee. I will update this review if anything changes but I am giving this item 5 stars ... show more

I've had to replace a couple of these and I expect to need this one to replace my current 3.6l oil cooler. The OEM plastic filter housing was a serious design flaw. This metal housing addresses the fault at a fraction of the OEM replacement. The casting appears flawless. The intake and o-ring seals are all included, as well as replacement sensors. ... show more

Fit perfectly and at a fraction of the cost of the auto-parts store, amazing that it's 4 times this price at the zone! Great to have a part that's actually an upgrade to the all aluminum body and that huge discount.
