The motor looked fine. I took it out of box connected it to battery immediate smile! Then I went in search for Prop box. The prop and shear pin were there but no nut to hold it on. I called Tech Support 800 number - Got this number disconnected. OK Maybe a mis-dial - Went through - to someones personal E-mail -Leave a message. I compared the number in manual with numbers I dialed. Identical. With no support a simple nut was cause of return but what if you needed a new prop? or service? Warranty: 2 years - from date it left china to the warehouse to you. It actually says it could be no warrenty if it sat too long. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. **08/01/2024 UPDATE**So far so good. I've been running it almost every day without issue. The prop is holding up no different then my minn kota. Also I'm impressed with how weed free it is. Any weed that does get caught up is easily cleared with a quick max thrust reverse then max thrust forward. First off, I am a current owner of a minn kota riptide 45 and a Newport Vessels 65 so I have an idea of what those price points get you. This one I'm reviewing is a 90lb thrust brushless moror on a 12v 100 ah battery. Wow, 90 lbs...that's pretty robust at least compared to what has been working for me. I have it on a 10' bass raider and a 12' jon boat. The water way is tidal but has a constant current. I have been using it every day for about 2 weeks now. First, it's lighter than either of my other motors. The way it screw clamps onto the transom is pretty much the same as the others. The motor housing is differently shaped then the others which causes an issue if using an aftermarket rudder. The prop feels like toy plastic whereas the minn kota prop is a dense plastic(or whatever material). It is not molded precisely and needed a little force to slide on the shaft. Sheer pin is similar to the others. So far it's holding up after a few branch strikes. The digital display is useless in the sun. The twist throttle is nice. It's an upgrade from the click speed control of the others. The only thing that would be helpful is the off position clicks to confirm the motor is not running. Sound...it is not quite. In the lower speeds it's down right annoying but mellows out in the higher speeds. Almost sounds like cheep or bad bearings. That's pretty much all I got on this for now. ... show more

I was initially impressed with trolling motor, but was skeptical as to it's longevity. Well, the trolling motor finally quit on me today. I'd say I got my monies worth, but going through a trolling motor is not only wasteful, but a pain in the butt. Maybe the brushless trolling motor will last longer? I am interested in trying it but think my money might be better spent on a name brand. ... show more
