The poly wire was advertised as containing 1,000 metres; however, it appeared to be longer than stated. When transferring it to a Gallagher reel with a stated capacity of 1,200 metres, I was unable to fit the entire roll onto the reel. This suggests the product may contain more wire than advertised, which was a welcome surprise. Overall, I am satisfied with the quality and value provided.

I've been working for 3 weeks to get this fence to work. I have an 8 month old Labradoodle that loves to run so I wanted a safe place to keep him outside when I can't be outside with him. The poly wire itself is nice and sturdy and easy to work with. I bought a brand new 10-mile solar powered charger and installed 4 ground rods. I'm still not getting enough charge to stop the dog. I just don't think this polywire concept is strong enough to stop a fuzzy strong-willed puppy, so I plan on going back to traditional bare wire. I'm not saying that this product is faulty, I'm just saying that the polywire concept doesn't have enough live wires embedded in the plastic fibers to be as strong as a simple bare wire.
