Difficult to put together for the first time. I mistakenly thought it would be a folding type item since it came with a bag but you would have to take it completely apart. The poles do not have interlocking abilities so they can come apart easy before you have if completely together and that was a hassle. Once together, it was great to use for my child to practice throwing and aiming his throws.

I ordered this for my 6-year-old grandson that loves all things baseball. This is wonderful tool for practicing throwing/pitching accuracy. Having a target and having feedback as to where the ball went is paramount to improving one’s ability. It wasn’t terribly difficult to set up. I did use the instructions as a guideline setting up the first time but after I got the idea the instructions are no longer needed as it’s pretty simple. It does take me about 10 minutes or so to get set up and about the same to take it back down. It comes with a storage bag to keep it all together when not being used which is a nice addition. Our grandson will stay at this for long periods of time. When he’s pitching, we generally like to watch but the challenge of it is enough to keep him playing whether we are watching or not. I like that this such a much better past time than just playing video games and it’s cheaper than one too. Heck, I even consider it educational since he’s learning his roman numerals as well because that’s how the slots are numbered. After using this for a while the numbers will be burned into his memory. Hahah. Anyway, I can definitely see that he has improved his accuracy, and he loves it. I call it a win!

This style of net is great because it breaks down to a very compact size and once you have done it a few times, you can put it together in a couple of minutes. It's rather large, so the different pockets wouldn't really be in the strike zone for a youth player, but that is actually a good thing for young pitchers just learning how to hit certain spots. It's also useful at first base and having players try to hit targets from SS or 3rd base. Has held up well to repeated use. Consider using sandbags as weights as opposed to stakes.

Once one gets through the laborious task of getting this together, it works rather well. It remains rigid and upright, even after getting hit with 50 - 70 mph pitches from a teenager.

I'm not the coach but he mentioned they were looking for one of these. Setup was easy and since we're using it at practice I'm breaking it down and setting it up each time. Packs up small and goes up quickly. Our team's a bunch of 6-7 year olds so they're not putting real force into the pitches but I think it'd hold up fine for adult use. Feels well made.
