2 of the screws broke off when I was installing this product. I pre-drilled the holes so they shouldn't have snapped so easy. And of course, they broke off so that half the screws are still sticking out of the gate. Besides this, the latch itself is a quality product and true to size. I wish the last hole was closer to the end so it could be used on a wider scale, but over all, it's an okay product.

This latch felt heavy-duty and seemed like it would hold up well, but unfortunately it started rusting after just a few rains. Disappointed since it’s meant for outdoor use. Might work better in a covered or indoor area, but not ideal for exposed gates.

This item exceeded my expectations because it’s made of thick metal and it’s powered coated which will last much longer compared to others painted only. I like this one because it has multiple pre-drilled holes for various gate spaces. This gate latch looks very nice with the powder coating and the style all square also fits my gate design. It works perfectly for its purpose to flip on and flip close the latch. The holes are perfect size for a medium duty gate lock 🔐 Big box stores would sell similar items for much more money than this item - so great value as well. I did use my own stainless steel screws for my gate just because I like the longevity of them. With all being said this latch is a great option for replacing those flimsy thin metal ones the builders install that’s even the wind can blow them open.
