  • Perfect for a solo
Style: Propeller Drive
So easy to use, very quality materials, I am very happy with this purchase. I bought this because I needed the ability to load/unload my kayak alone for solo trips and my kayak rack is too tall for me to use safely alone. This fit the bill and is so easy to load in two manageable pieces while still quickly locking together once near the water. Everything is very thought out and well equipped for fishing which I appreciate. The pedal drive is fast in deeper or open water, but also easy to remove if you get into shallow areas which I tend to do. The propeller gets caught in the weeds pretty fast but I like that you can use this as a regular kayak for smaller/shallow ponds or use the pedal drive for bigger lakes to cover more ground quickly. The rudder is great for steering while pedaling but a bit squeaky when used so I am going to try and troubleshoot that because I think the noise scares away fish . It says it's stable enough to stand and fish, but I haven't found that to be the case if that's what you are after. Granted I've only had it during fall and it's been windy/wavy most days I've taken it out but I don't see it as a stand up option unless you have exceptional balance or no fear of tipping over if you hook a hog. Tight lines! ... show more

  • Great for fishing for older folk, easy to lift and handle
Style: Propeller Drive
I love this kayak for inshore saltwater fishing. VERY easy for 65+yo, like me, to move, lift, assemble and disassemble for fishing. The only negative is the pedal drive. It works very well, but I have a slight disability and the pedal drive is about 5-10cm (2.5-4”) too far away for me to be comfortable from the seat. I kind of have to “slouch down” in the seat to reach the pedals. But that is my ONLY negative. Everything about this kayak is perfect for my use of inshore, shallow water, saltwater fishing. ... show more

  • Good for a compact kayak after 5 months of use
Style: Propeller Drive
I have had and used this kayak for 5 months, now. It gets used a lot in coastal South Carolina. It is a great design and fun kayak for being so small. I did not have a pickup truck so I wanted something I can throw in the SUV. I did have a broken steering part inside the boat, but the company sent me a new piece. Yes, the boat is a bit cramped but adequate ( I am 6 foot), but it is a tradeoff to be able to transport it so easily. The boat is well made, and the pedal drive is OK. It is the only pedal drive I have used, so I can't compare it to an upscale drive. Pricing was good. I think it listed for $999 at the time, well below others. Overall, I am happy with the value of boat, and I caught several nice fish and it is convenient and compact. ... show more

  • Lacking support
Style: Propeller Drive
Great kayak and modular system. But, support is terrible. Had some minor issues that I needed to troubleshoot. I dont spend this kind of cash to troubleshoot myself.

  • works as advertised
Style: Propeller Drive
Purchased for a trip to Florida, based mostly on size. It performs well, very stable but have not tried standing. because of its portability it is small and you will not have the space of a larger boat, that said I have used it for 2 weeks and have been able to catch fish with it easily.

  • UNSTABLE KAYAK
Style: Propeller Drive
unfortunately we can't float on these units. we bought two to go fishing. At every launch, the kayak tips over. I'm experienced with kayaks and even I can't stay up. They are not as stable as advertised. I'm in process of adding outrigger stabilizers to improve the efforts.

  • Good for pedaling around, not for fishing though
Style: Propeller Drive
I don’t feel that this boat is stable enough for me. I’m 5’6” and 165#. I still need my truck to transport it. Won’t fit in a Camry. I have to drag pieces out, assemble, forget pieces, go back in truck to get them. It is all right for pedaling around, just not sure I like it for fishing. Feels cramped for fishing. I would like to be able to stand up and cast. It is a pretty cool idea though. ... show more
