  • Sturdier than expected!
I've actually been impressed with the sturdiness of this greenhouse. We live in Wyoming and set it up to be somewhat sheltered by the house, and it has already withstood several high wind events. The channel system for the polycarbonate panels seems to work really well! Im anxious to see how it handles snow. Assembly was challenging but doable, and we added sealant to the seams, especially the ridgeline to better secure the panels. ... show more

  • Not worth the price
Took a very very long time to arrive, most likely came straight from China. Took a beating on the way, a lot of parts were bent and the clear wall panels were smashed on the edges making it damn near impossible to assemble. Build quality not that great, and feels pretty flimsy when it's all put together. ... show more

  • Good little greenhouse.
Not as big as I had hoped, did not realize how short a 5-foot side wall would be next to my 5'7"... nevertheless, not the fault of the product, exactly a good size for where I live (city). Family member who assembled it for me said it was easy to put together, just took a little more time than he expected. Or maybe it was his breaks were longer than he thought. It is too soon to tell how my plants will fare inside, but they are cooked (literally) outside, so looking forward to seeing an improvement - love the vent in the roof. Oh yeah, good price too. ... show more

  • ****Follow directions to the letter!***"
Color: Silver Size: 8x10 FT
Follow directions STEP BY STEP! parts are not interchangeable, and don't skip step#22, vent window gets placed in the top rail before it is put in place. This green house can be finished in one day, two people are helpful, as long as they follow directions. Doorway is small, so placing the green house on a 4x4 pressure treated foundation helps, you have more room. Complaint is the door is too narrow for the opening, it's small size makes it so it bearly latches and not centered in the opening, we put spacers in to center top to bottom but haven't fixed the latch issue yet. We keep tripping on the opening ledge, so I painted the inside and outside base door frame. It's a nice green house. Windows are a clear flexible vinyl like cardboard. ... show more

  • You sort of get what you pay for. Not a horrible product, but not all that great either.
I just put this greenhouse together today. I can verify what another reviewer said - this is not a 6x10 greenhouse. Exact exterior messurements of the base is 70 1/4" by 118 3/4". So not quite 10 feet and definately not 6 feet. I am definately disappointed with that and I learned the hard way. I had already built a platform for it using pressure treated 2x6's using measurements from the product description only to find out my platform was too big. I had to take it all apart, cut the boards, and rebuild. The hold down brackets included (four of them) just aren't going to work, so I had to come up with some other angle brackets to afix the greenhouse to my wood platform. I suggest building it on a wood frame like I did with 2x6's because you'll want the extra head room inside the greenhouse. I also put down adheasive caulk along the top of the 2x6 boards to set the greenhouse base frame onto. I highly suggest doing this. It will help hold down the greenhouse and once you've got the base squared the adhesive will hold in place so it won't move out of square as you continue to put the greenhouse together. One thing about this greehouse compared to other greenhouse kits is the base. This one has small 1"x1" aluminum base parts. I've seen other kits that look like they have a 1" wide x 3" tall base parts. I think overall sturdiness starts with the base. I think I would opt for the better base if I were to buy another greenhouse kit. I did this assembly by myself and it took all day. There were a couple parts of the install that would have been easier with two people. The back roof rafters was hard because there are a lot of pieces to line up. I'd get one side started, go to the other side to fit that into place, and the first side would pop out. Two people would have made it easier. Same with the roof beam. In the corners where metal meets plastic connectors the panels will just not slide into those corners. Slot space is just too tight. So I wound up having to cut with sissors a notch in those corners. 1/2" up from top, or bottom, depending on which corner and a 1/4" from the side. Going to caulk anyways so it doesn't matter. I recommend doing this because you're just going to wind up mangling the panels trying to fit them in these corners where the panels just won't go in. Do yourself a big favor and check for dents in the aluminum pieces and bend back into shape before starting assembling. Especially the slots that the panels slide into. There are a ton of these little dents. Might also want to get some black gloss paint if you want a perfect paint job. There were a lot of poorly painted aluminum parts. And the angled cross support rods aren't painted at all. Definately recommend using your own tools. Use a drill. Most of the screws are fine threated machine screws. You'll be turning and turning screws all day long if using just a screw driver. The one good thing I'll say is the parts are designed/cut with really good precision. If you start with a perfectly square and level base parts will fit together well. And as you build the whole thing put together it will wind up square and plumb. Don't tighten the screws all the way at first. You need a little wiggle room to fit parts together. Afterwards you can go back around and tighten all the screws. When you start it seems really flimsy, but as you complete installing more and more parts the greenhouse becomes a rather solid structure. Takes quite a bit to jiggle it at all once it's put together. People say once the panels are caulked with clear silicone it's even stronger. I still have that yet to do. Update: I caulked around all the panels today. Another tip is to get some rolls of 1" masking tape to mask off your caulk line. Caulking can get messy. Fairly easy to clen up on the aluminum becaue it will easily rub off. But once caulk mess gets on the panels there's no cleaning it up to get enough of it off to make the panel clear again. You'll forever have caulk smudge marks on the panels. ... show more

  • Nice Green House for the Money
It took about two weeks to come in, and came in two boxes over two days. Everything was packed properly except random screw all over the box the skinny tall box. Once I got the hang of things, the build went well and took me about 5 hours. I would recommend putting all the parts in numerical order as well as the screws. Follow the direction exactly and you shouldn’t have a problem. Also, don’t build on a windy day. For $300 dollars it is sturdy enough and I would buy it again. The plastic is about as thick as refrigerator cardboard. The only reason I have it 4 stars was there were several spots I had to bend some of the slide in areas. ... show more
