I needed a switch specifically to allow me to use the same microphone on two different computers. I already have another switch setup for swapping the mouse/keyboard, but I needed a separate, independent switch just for the microphone as I'm not always looking to swap the mic each time I swap keyboard/mouse. This switch works beautifully for that, and I appreciate the super slim, low profile of it. Fits snug between my desk and the wall so it is totally out of sight, and the button for switching is very compact. Got that stuck to the underside of my desk just off to the side of my keyboard. The double sided tape it came with is working great so far (and the button weighs next to nothing). It is also very easy to press and even has a light indicating if you're on PC #1 or PC #2. Being able to switch a couple devices/one monitor with this tiny switch is really fantastic. I don't need it for the monitor switching, least not right now, but great to have the option should I change things up in the future. After using for a few weeks, no issues with the USB connectivity, everything has been flawless, and it switches instantly upon button press. Overall, 10/10 here, this is easy for me to recommend. Well priced around ~$50 for a quality switch.

This KVM switch, and a few others I've tried, are really convenient - unless you're using a brand new device. I've noticed that new laptops with the latest hardware can experience flickering on these KVMs. It's hard to say which side the problem is on, but took off a star because it's definitely not universally compatible.

Started to use this the day I got it, had some issue with USB mouse and set it aside being in a hurry. Went back to it a few days ago and realized the Power Supply was still in the box. DOH! Imagine that, a product that works conspicuously better when you actually supply power to it... So now it works just fine. One thing different from some others is that there are two bright LEDs on top - one blue, one green - makes it easy to tell at a glance which is selected, even from a distance. The little selection puck also has tiny LEDs, while they are both green that matters not. The cord is fairly small and relatively easy to tuck away. There is nothing in my place that is 8K today, but it is good to be future-proofed. Happy!

I get constant USB disconnects with this, but not all the time. Sometimes it happens once a minute, sometimes it goes for hours with no problem. I've also had issues with the video cutting out entirely for a few seconds and coming back. Another problem that doesn't happen all the time. External hard drives do not work on this, even when they have their own power source. Will not even recognize on the system. Flash drives do work. Im sitting in front of it right now and it keeps reconnecting to the USB literally every 30 seconds. Of course every time it happens it stops you from doing anything with the devices. Quite annoying. I'm not using a fancy keyboard or mouse, nothing RGB. I'm using a standard Logitech corded USB optical mouse and a small HP standard keyboard. Also, I only have one PC connected to it at the moment. Unfortunately, this thing is garbage, but it seemed like it was the best in a sea of KVM's.

I work from home and got this to switch between my personal Mac and my work PC. I run a 43" 4K TV (60Hz) as a monitor and this worked great with my setup. No issues with refresh rates or janky video. I was really impressed that this came with the KVM cables in such a compact package- sometimes you don't get a full set of cables with a KVM. I've used many different KVM's over the years and this is the only one that I didn't have to fight with video issues.

It works really well! For everything but my apple silicon macbook (pro even) qq. I did wind up replacing it with a displayport switch because my macbook can't drive my monitor through an hdmi cable. If you have macbook and want a high refresh rate and high resolution, better steer towards displayport instead of hdmi. But that isn't a problem with the switch, it's a problem with apples mediocre graphics hardware so I'm not taking any stars off.

*edit* I added a star because of a very responsive seller. They contacted me about the review below and tried to address the issues. They determined that my particular keyboard is drawing too much power, which is an explanation I can accept. So while it still doesnt meet my purposes the seller is very responsive and does try to address issues. This KVM was not very reliable for me. With two PC's connected I experienced frequent disconnects of the keyboard when switched to PC 1. If I switched to 2 and back to 1 then the keyboard would work again, but only for a short time. The lights on the keyboard would flicker and then it was dead - key presses not passed to PC. Switch KVM inputs & back again and it returns for a time. Not really workable. One other thing worth noting - there are colored LED's on the top of the unit to indicate which input is selected - these are VERY bright. If it's on your desk top they are bright enough to be distracting (or act as a night light).
