  • The most ridiculous kind of fun you can have with a toy.
The media could not be loaded. First off, I need to admit I’m a 12 year old boy in the body of a 55 year old man. When I was in my 30’s I’d buy toys, play with them for a day or two and then give them to my kids. Or play with them concurrently with them. I take young at heart to the extreme LOL. So know this revue is from MY perspective. That said, this car/tank/alien Lamborghini is ridiculous. It looks like a Huracan and Aventador were abducted by aliens and returned as a mixed body freak show and all 8 wheels included. Don’t overthink it just drink in the madness. It’s got crazy lights (that you can turn off remotely) a very cool light up mist feature looking like flaming exhaust and then there’s the moves. The move possibilities are bananas. Spinning, undulating, growing/shrinking etc there’s a LOT going on here and it’s all fun but also hilarious. There’s a bit of a learning curve with all the buttons but for a kid with nimble fingers they’ll get it faster than I did. You’ll have to watch the video to get an idea about how whacky this thing can move. There’s a demo mode that’ll showcase the possibilities if you had 15 fingers LOL. One of the cooler features is the wristband. The wristband has a motion sensor that allows you to operate the car’s moves with your hand gestures while controlling auxiliary actions with small buttons. See photos for wristband. It’s unique and fun. You can control the car with either remote which I think is very neat. Other than that the only negative is that the included rechargeable battery doesn’t last all that long and is low voltage at 3.7v, it’s a single cell 500mAh. I see on Amazon you can buy additional batteries for it which would be handy. The battery tray under the car is a big square as if it was designed for 3 AA batteries but the single cell wire lead battery floats around in there. It’d be cool to come up with a 3.7v lipo with a higher mAh capacity to allow you to play longer; that said for the average user a spare battery or two would probably be plenty. In conclusion, this thing is ridiculous fun, silly, entertaining and it literally made me laugh while playing with it. My wife thinks I’m out of my mind. We’ve been married 33 years so if she has stuck around this long wouldn’t SHE be the crazy one? Exactly. ... show more

  • Fun toy, a bit overpriced
It's really neat and sleek when it comes out of the box. It goes a decent speed and the mist is really neat, especially in the dark with the light. However, it doesn't turn while you're driving it, and doesn't have as many features as it brags. It mainly goes forward, spins, and lights up. You can flip it and climb low-level stairs with some practice, but then you really just need to use your imagination. I haven't discovered too many things, so either I haven't been the most imaginative, or maybe it doesn't actually have a ton you can do with it. It's a neat toy and easy to setup, but it's more like the $20 level, not $50. My main grip is that you have to stop to turn though. ... show more

  • 8 Wheels of Pure Fun
The media could not be loaded. I have been testing out and reviewing many RC cars lately, especially ones that I am adding to my own personal collection, This 8-wheel stunt RC car is one of the flashiest ones yet and was a blast to test out. First, it is about 8 inches long from the end of the rear tire to the end of the front tire. It’s 6 1/2 inches from the right tire to the left tire in width. It has a 2 1/2 inch height and weights about 1lb and 4 oz. It comes with a transmitter that is in the shape of a traditional gamepad. The controller is light weight and ergonomic. You can controller several functions from the gamepad including a nice demo mode in which the car will perform flashy tricks with just the push of a button. All you have to do is sit back and watch hands off. Despite the car being fun to control from the gamepad, I found myself really enjoying the demo mode. The car can perform some entertaining tricks including spinning 360 degrees. It has flashy colorful lights to add to the show, The robotic movement of the “wheel arms” really gives it a cool futuristic appeal to it. The controls are quite responsive. The car sorts of glides around effortless on tile and carpet. To make things even more interesting, the car can be controlled by gestures. It comes with a wrist transmitter that allows you to control the car with flicks of the wrists. I found the wrist transmitter very responsive although it does take some getting used to and practice to become skillful at it moving he car more precisely. It also has a smoke-like function in which it releases smoke from the rear of the car. Just fill the small reservoir at the rear of the vehicle using the included graduated plastic bottle and press the smoke button on the controller. A rechargeable battery and charging cable is also included. Was able to run the car for at least 30 minutes on my runs while testing it out. Overall, I really enjoyed playing around with RC car. The abilities of the car along with the flashy lights and smoke function could keep a kid entertained for a good chunk of time. The inclusion of the wrist transmitter makes it even more engaging. This should make a very exciting birthday or Christmas gift. ... show more
