Description

Vermiculite is permanent, clean, odorless, non-toxic and sterile. Because it is sterile, “damping-off” is basically eliminated as well as disease, seeds, and insects. It does not deteriorate, rot, or turn moldy. Vermiculite is essentially PH neutral. It promotes faster root growth and quick anchorage for young roots. Soil mixes with vermiculite helps retain air, plant food, moisture, and releases them as needed by the plant. Vermiculite is useful for propagation mixes, seed starting mixes and over seed trays. We offer the size commonly called “medium or horticultural grade” in the greenhouse trade. The granules of vermiculite we sell are approximately the size of dried peas.

Great for seed starting (can put in wintersown containers and seal once watered, no need to worry about it). Mixes well with my other seed starting stuff. Very quick delivery.

I got this to use in an incubator for snake eggs. Worked great!!! Super clean with no fertilizer type additives that can harm the eggs. Good size for filling a standard hovabator also.

Accidentally received perlite when I ordered, but the owner responded to my inquiry and sent out the right stuff. He was very considerate and helpful.
