Using this wheel on one of my farm gates that always seems to sag. This wheel makes it so much easier to open and even my younger grandkids can open the gate now. This wheel feels heavy duty and seems very durable. The rubber on the wheel is super tough. I would definitely buy again! Make sure it fits the pipe on your gates. A ranch can never have too many gates, but that then means that many are either digging a trench as you open and close them, or their too high and your animals have a way out (if they're so inclined). This wheel will be used on a gate that gets lots of traffic (use) for easier opening and closing, AND it also saves my gate posts as the weight of the gate won't pull the post over, thereby exasperating the gate digging into the dirt. ... show more

    • Good wheel, does not work for 2 gates that meet in the middle

This is a nice wheel, heavy rubber and strong bracket. However, I needed to make an adjustment to take the bolt back out, and the nut stripped on the bolt, so I had to cut the bolt off. Another issue is that if you have two gates that meet in the middle of your driveway, the wheel hits the other gate on the opposite side, preventing the gates from closing together. This wheel would probably be better for a single gate, but beware if you have two gates that close together to latch. This wheel would probably need to be mounted on the bottom edge of the gate, but then the gate has to sit up off the ground about 8", which wouldn't work for me because I need to the gate close to the ground to keep my dogs safely in my yard. Outside of these issues, this is an acceptable wheel, but just didn't work for me. ... show more

This is used to support one of our swinging gates. I got this one because of the mount. It mounts on the side stile of the gate. This means it will take up some space at the end of the gate, since the wheel will be on the outside of that edge. It is sturdy and rolls well.
