1st day of use review. My drive through wooden gates is about 6 ft wide each. They sagged so bad they dragged the ground when opening and closing. I had to physically lift the gate up to open and close it. So I lifted the gates with a low-profile hydraulic jack, readjusted the top hinges on each gate, then I installed the castors and removed the jack. They work like a charm. I really like the wheel locking feature. It took me about 10 minutes to install with all my tools on hand. They look nice, and the mounting hardware is good quality. Everything looks nice and durable, but time will tell. It's way better than what it was, so I'm a happy camper at the moment.

I installed these gate wheels on the large doors to my shed to help alleviate the strain on the door hinges, and to help the door overcome a slight lip at the door opening with the assistance of the rolling wheels. I substituted my own bolts to mount the wheel assembly to the doors, because the ones provided were very long, and would have protruded significantly. Once installed, the product performed perfectly, making it much easier to move the doors. My visual observation suggests that the product is well-fabricated. I would recommend this to a friend.

This thing is a gate saver. There are all kinds of ways to build a gate. for a privacy fence gate 6' tall and over 4 feet wide this was a game changer for me. The gate worked for years without this. However I kept having to adjust the hinge side with tensioning cables as gravity was winning the sagging war. This takes a huge amount of weight off of the hinges and everything works smoothly. Installation can be challenging. Be sure to consider spring compression as you don't want the wheel to come off the ground. You may have to compress the spring a bit as you bolt the unit to the gate. Not too hard, best with two people. Highly recommend, especially for longer gates.
