  • Replacement parts may be tricky
Style: 72CC
It's a cheap Chinese knockoff off. It works good and has more than enough power, but be careful if you have rocks or roots that it could catch. It will hurt you if you're not ready for it to grab. Trust me, it's stronger than your joints. I'm a fairly strong/fit guy and it's a lot to handle, especially if I'm digging more than 8 or 10 holes with the larger diameter bits or using the extensions. It's still much easier than post hole diggers though. There are no clear ways to reference parts. The fuel line and grommet for the 72cc model can be replaced with this kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09F5KG7CD?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details (Honda GX31 GX35 GX35NT GX22 GX25 GX25N GX25NT GX25T). The hole in the tank is 18mm. The original grommet started to leak after about 6 months and the engine would lose prime. With a leap of faith I ordered the kit above and it worked. The clutch pawls on the pull start assembly came apart the first week. I wasn't able to match it to anything, but luckily nothing was broke broken when I took it apart and I was able to put everything back in place and get it working. No other problems since. It's probably good for a small project or for home use, but I wouldn't rely on it if I were in business. You can replace it a couple of times before spending what you would on a name brand equivalent. What's your time and aggravation worth? And are you handy/patient enough to fix it? The one small engine shops I consulted for parts wouldn't touch it. I'm sure the parts are out there, but finding them seems to be trial and error. ... show more

  • Decent product
Style: 72CC
Powerful however the auger bits aren't as good as they could be. Other alternatives have more twists on the bit allowing for a fast dig, also they are made of a thinner metal. I use the 6" bit off my Harbor Freight auger and the use the 12" diameter bit with this model to round out the existing hole. Using the 12" on its own is a much much slower harder dig. ... show more

  • Stopped working but good customer service to get it fixed
Style: 72CC
Motor simply turned off in the middle of drilling a hole that was 8" deep using smallest auger. Will not restart. Used premium gas (no ethanol) and correct oil mix exactly per instructions with premium 2 cycle engine oil. Auger worked for perhaps a total of 15 minutes as this was only the 6th hole. Originally I gave this a 1 star review as I was expecting to have to return the auger and pay for shipping. I've now changed that to 4 stars as the seller was very responsive and engaged in working with me to get the auger fixed. I don't think an engine should stop working after just a few minutes, but sometimes these things happen and the follow-up once I reported the issue was excellent. ... show more

  • Works well, but augers can get stuck on the shafts
Style: 72CC
The engine fired right up out of the box and had enough power to burrow deeply into dry, hard, high clay content soil. I had several deep holes dug in a few minutes with a partner. When I hit a big rock however, the pins that secure the auger to the shaft got bent and wouldn't come out. I had to grind off one end of the pins, drill out the cores and beat the remainder out with a punch and hammer which wasn't a fun chore. If these pins are supposed to be shear pins, they're too hard for that. If they are not shear pins, then the metal is too soft and will bend and get stuck in the mounting holes after moderate use. I'm going to experiment with various hardness of pins/bolts and see it they either shear cleanly with softer metal if I hit a rock or not deform if I use harder metal. The gear box and shaft exiting the engine gear box seem to be robust enough however. I don't believe the augers will hold up long under constant use in anything but relatively soft black soil. I'll likely get replacement augers somewhere else. ... show more

  • A Few Mods Made It Better
Style: 72CC
The unit has started and run well. I have drilled many holes, most up to 12". What became evident is that for two people to hold it and lift it out, the existing handles were way too small. I ended up buying two 36" lengths of 3/4" galvanized pipe (and end caps) and mounting them to the auger's handles. I drilled two 1/4" holes through each pipe and the auger handles. I then mounted the longer handles with 1/4" bolts. I relocated the throttle and on/off switch to the extension pipe. The unit is now MUCH easier to manage with two people. ... show more

  • Throttle/switch needs mounted. Missing CSTM ONLY machine screw
Style: 62CC
Have not actually used. Instructions for 60+ cc gas powered machine has 3 pages. 25:1 fuel to 2cycle oil with an insanely ridiculous "mixing container" that just has 0-10 labeled in no distinguishable way for any ratio configuration (5.12 oz 2-cycle oil to 1 gallon just to save you that... In case it's your first time). There is no instructions...or the single machine screw which is very custom in threading and length for mounting the power switch/throttle,(which also shows no diagrams with it attached... Til the "starting auger" in which case it also tells you to run low throttle for a period, which is great but then immediately says throttle tension may need adjusted🥴. Then says "tighten or loosen throttle tension SCREW OR BOLT🤔. Then use provided tool kit to remove outer housing. Might raise to 2.5 stars if it functions perfectly after I get brave enough to add fuel/oil, prime, and actually pull the start string. ... show more
