The media could not be loaded. Very happy with this purchase. It dos take a while to put together so set aside an afternoon. The directions are pretty straightforward. There are approximately 42 pieces to put together. All of the parts were present. It’s a solid piece and it looks great in our living room. We love the LED functionality. There is a remote that controls the lights and there is also an app that can control the lights as well as connect to a music source so the lights flash to the music. There are extra pieces for the hardware which is nice but weren’t missing anything. The only complaint I would have is that there are no pre drilled holes to connect the “cardboard” (it’s thicker than that but not as thick as a board) to the back of the two side shelves. You have to screw them in around the backing without any holes but the screws went in easily. There are also no predrilled holes for the fireplace insert so you’ll need to actually drill those as well. The fireplace has three flame settings and has temp setting from 68° to 74°. The fan isn’t too loud in our opinion. It certainly doesn’t impact TV watching. If you have no music or TV on then yes, it’s blows like a fan and it can be heard. It is not intrusive in any way, however. Overall it’s a great piece and holds our 75” TV perfectly and we’re really happy with it.

I bought a fixer with a 70’s style arched firebox opening (think igloo shaped) that’s too small for a gas insert without replacing the whole structural brick face of the fireplace. I was looking for a sort of temporary prefab beam-style mantel to hang for Christmas when I stumbled across this type of mantel/electric fireplace unit, and omg what a fantastic cost-effective solution! It won’t be forever, but it allows me to kick the can (the expense of redoing my ugly fireplace) quite a ways down the road! This one sits just right on my hearth, instantly and drastically improved the look of that wall, gave me the ability to decorate for Christmas, and the electric fireplace is so cozy that we pretty much just leave it on (the flame, not the heater - it does put out noticeable heat, but we don’t need more in that room). While the flame isn’t the most realistic, I really have no beef with that for the cost of this unit. There are a lot of pieces, though IMO the instructions were clear and it wasn’t hard to assemble (came in two boxes, one super heavy that was the cabinet, and one much smaller that was the electric fireplace you pop in after you build the cabinet). If you are within a couple of feet of this, you might notice some unevenness in finish where the mitered corners don’t fit perfectly together. I thought about hitting it with some white caulk to clean up the little gaps, and I still might, but it looks fine from further away. There is also a deliberate gap in the depth between the face frame around the fireplace and the next layer of framing, so that if you want, you can install some sort of thin decorative tile or stone to up the look even more. The only thing I really didn’t like was the LED backlighting, which had kind of garish colors and no warm white that I think most people would want. I was able to find a $10 cabinet light on Amazon that made a perfect substitute. I recommend also putting some inexpensive peel & stick wallpaper on the back of the shelves to hide the center seam on the backing board, which is a subtle but solid improvement. Overall, super happy with this, especially at such a low price point!

It really looks nice. It takes time to assemble IF you are on your own. It does put together easily, and the directions are good. This thing has a ton of parts/pieces to put together, and it's heavy. The heater works reasonably well; the only issue is that ours makes a weird sound (I think it's the fan motor), which is not constant, comes and goes, and thus it becomes annoying during the night. I turned it on last night to see how it works (received it on Saturday and built it) and early this morning I heard this weird sound, like a fan that has a vibration on it, but as I mentioned, it would make the noise, then go away for a minute or so, then come back on for several minutes, the go silent again. Hopefully, the seller will help resolve this, but as for now, I cannot give it a better rating because of that.
