I really love this art supply storage box. It looks beautiful, well made, high end and fits nicely in the space I got it for. It holds quite a lot and Iβm generally very happy with it and thinking of ordering another one to stack, because Iβm already outgrowing it. My only complaint is that once the drawers have any sort of weight in them, they drop down when you pull them out so that when youβre closing the drawer again, you have to raise the others on top of it in order to fit it back in place. Itβs not a huge inconvenience, but it would be ideal to be able to close the drawers with one hand, especially when Iβm actively working on a piece.

This is the 4th set of drawers by "7 Elements" I've purchased and I love them all. My first purchase was two sets of the 4-drawer units in 2021 and I came back and ordered another two sets, this time two 6-drawer units in 2024. There are other listings showing similar ones but I was really pleased with the quality of the '7 Elements' brand so I made sure to get that same brand the second time around. These are so classy and versatile! I used my first set to store crystals and stones that I collect. I cut felt to line the drawers for the crystals and they look beautiful that way. The drawers are very shallow though. If you're trying to gauge the depth, I can fit a deck of standard playing cards in it and close the drawers, but nothing thicker than that. So it's great for my smaller cabochons and flatter stones, and necklaces. For this most recent purchase, I bought two 6-drawer sets for my art pencils and markers in my art studio. In the top unit I have drawing pencils, mechanical pencils, spare lead, erasers and then ink pens and some small paint brushes. Then in the bottom unit I have all my colored pencils and coloring markers. Standard colored pencils will fit two layers deep, although I prefer to keep them in a single layer for quick visual reference. Markers can fit two layers deep depending on the markers, but it's safer to expect a single layer for most brands. I can fit 10 pencils and 8 markers in each wide section (single layer), but obviously this will vary with your brand of supplies. The dividers are not removable or movable. The quality is excellent. The outside is beautiful, smooth, light wood. The inside is a bit more hit or miss, sometimes an occasional splinter or glue marks, other times not. But it's a minor issue and doesn't bother me in the least, because they're so nice otherwise. They're stackable, although they don't lock into place or anything, you just set one on top of the other. I've never had an issue with them sliding around. The drawers come right out (nothing holds them in the unit), so I often remove a drawer or two at a time and use them as trays on my drawing table while I color. Whether it's for my crystals or my art supplies, these bring me joy and excitement every time I open a drawer. And they look great in any setting, my bedroom or my art studio.

I didn't buy this to store pens or markers, so I knew I was taking a chance that it would work out. I got this to hold Luthier tools and supplies ( to repair and modify Guitars ). It appears to be quality construction and looks great. I wish the drawers were deeper though. If you use any kind of cork or felt liner they are even more shallow. I will keep it because I can use it for some items, but I will be looking for another one with deeper drawers. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because the drawers don't open and close very smoothly. I feel it was a fair price for what it is and I will keep this one for small items even if I do find another with deeper drawers. Plus, it is much nicer looking on my workbench than the plastic fishing tackle box it replaced.

Exterior is honestly very well crafted, the drawers slide smoothly. The drawer box interior feels a bit cheap, but the price of the product is also very reasonable so no need to knock stars off. You could easily improve the interior feel by adding some thin felt, etc. to the drawer yourself. As noted in the title the dividers are glued in, this may or may not be a deal breaker depending on your use so just be aware of that. Honestly very happy with what I got for the price. Also, I did add my own little adhesive rubber feet underneath as the box felt quite slippery on my desk (though I didn't have much in it so I expect it wouldn't be so bad if you had lots of pens, ink, etc. inside).
