I usually don’t write reviews, but after reading the reviews on this item, I decided to. After removing all the parts in a spare bedroom, I wondered what I had gotten myself into (especially since I was building this myself and could not ask for help as it was part of a surprise). Anyway, I read the directions, I put the pieces together numerically, and I built this in two days (a few hours each day). Once I had to undo a step as I didn’t look at the directions carefully, but it was easy to undo and assemble correctly. Once the dresser was together I was able to move it into the spare bedroom by myself and then finished assembling the drawers. Tips: - Look at the drawings closely, especially details regarding orientation of pieces - DO use a drill or good electric screwdriver (otherwise it will take quite a while to assemble and you’ll have blisters on your hands) - Do not remove stickers until complete - When it starts to feel overwhelming, take a break and come back later I love the look and size. It’s perfect for a smaller room but is a nice size for a queen bed. Great item for the price. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Terrible item Took hours to build and in the end the drawers collapse even if you gently try to open them can not stress enough how much anxiety it gave me to build this ! The whole dresser is unsteady and with the slightest touch the entire thing sways ! Do not buy

We love the design, it can take a while to put together but it's worth it. The material isn't the best quality but it's good for the price.

The dresser itself is beautiful in appearance but somehow it’s functionality is disappointing as the base of the drawers have been cut too short and they do not stay within the « runners if this is what they are called » making the dresser unsuitable for its purpose. I believe if I had the patience and the box I would have returned the item. Assembling the dresser is relatively easy as for the value for money that is questionable. I’ve changed the metal runners that were sent to me and I never got it to work as it should. As soon as I close the drawers the fall from their position. What I suggested that the drawers were cut a 2-3/16 inches too short this is where the problem is. Such a shame wasted money and effort. The merchant never responded to my subsequent messages. I believe somebody should be help accountable for such poor workmanship.

It came fairly well protected, but from the factory one of the blocks that the drawer glides mount to was completely broken loose. The box wasn’t damaged, so I assume it was damaged in packaging and allowed to ship anyway. I was able to flatten the bent nails from where it was originally attached and sand where it was glued, then reglue it. Next, two cross pieces absolutely didn’t line up properly. I redrilled their mounting holes and fixed that. Finally, when I tried to insert the drawers, they wouldn’t go all the way in. The factory drilled holes for the drawer glides were wrong and I had to remount the glides. In the end, it looks pretty good. I was raised by a cabinet maker. I don’t think a normal diy person could have assembled this successfully.

I bought this dresser for my mom who just moved into assisted living - after taking the pieces out of the box (felt like 10,000 pieces) and starting the process of putting them together, it is so cheaply made that the wood just breaks apart - the same thing happened with the nightstand. We were able to put extra screws in the nightstand and make it work but this is RIDICULOUS! Money spent was wasted and there is no way you are getting all of the pieces back in the box to return. Ended up spending another $400 on a dresser from a furniture store.
