this is water tight even after adjusting it several times - I still adjust it sometimes but, the tighteners seem to be handling it very well. So far I see no wear in the product and added the height for a better "rain shower" effect.

I'm 6'1" and I wanted a rainfall shower, but my plumbing couldn't do it alone. Enter this extension. It's super easy to installing adjust and it seems to lock really well. And extremely critical feature. It's still somewhat new for me so we'll see long term, but so far, it's great.

Works well - just know you may need to make a few extra wraps of Teflon tape to align it in the right position. If it's still loose when you rotate to where you want, add some tape and you'll get it in the right position with a little resistance to stay.

This item is as advertised. It is cheap, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I didn't have a problem with the joints holding a position, even with a very heavy shower head. However, the ends are threaded directly, there is no collar that would be adjustable left or right. Whatever angle it happens to screw to on your pipe is where it goes. The pipe coming out of my wall is pointed towards the curtain by about 20 degrees, so this ended up not being straight up and down. It would have been much more useful if that were a point you could adjust, but then again, that would likely increase cost substantially. It definitely has a use case, but for me, it wasn't ideal. I did buy a different solution, and installed it in our guest bathroom where it may be used once in the next few years. If your shower pipe comes out of the wall straight, this will probably work better for you than it did for me. ... show more
