  • Better than I expected
I have worked with wood; building, restoring, remodeling, and so forth, for more than 60 years. While I’m not good at, and don’t care about, the terminology, I do know the products that I use. I got this, hoping for a smooth, consistent cut through ½ inch and ¾ inch plywood. I generally use a 60 tooth blade as most of my work is finishing, but this blade made a very clean cut through the wood. I won’t be using it for anything else as I have a selection of saws as well as blades and use different saws for what seems like everything. What matters here is that the blade cuts smoothly and leaves practically no tearing. And that is with a 70 year old man with Parkinson’s doing the work. Good blade, 5 stars. ... show more

  • Cuts nice
I was a bit skeptical of this blade, but figured I would give it a try just to see how it performed. Working on a new table for my CNC I needed to cut back the 1/2" plywood top surface. I installed the blade in my trusty DeWalt circular saw, snapped a chalk line, and hoped for the best. As you can see from the photo it left surprisingly little tear out on this cheap Menards plywood. I knew from the touch-test that the bald was pretty darn sharp. But I really didn't expect so little tear out. I replaced an older Diablo 40t blade with this one (also 40t) and I suspect the Diablo would left a bit more tear out. Given how clean the cut it it would suggest there's little runout in the blade. Being a very thin kerf it's possible that hard use could cause some warping. As it stands, and with a limited amount of time using it, I'm so far pleased with this blade. Only time will tell how durable it is and how long it retains it's sharpness. ... show more

  • Supper smooth, fast, straight cuts deep into rock-hard oak
No, I don't usually use a circular saw on firewood. But I had these thick slabs of super-hard oak & I wanted to test out this Ezee 7&1/4" 40-tooth circular saw blade, so why not? This blade's 5/8" arbor fits a standard circular saw, so I set my Makita to cut at maximum depth and away I went. As you can see in the first 2 attached photos it cut straight and true, with a consistent, even kerf. What you can't see is how easily it chewed through this hard, hard oak like it was going through cardboard with no bucking at all. Man, it cuts smoothly! I tried to show in the 3rd photo attached to this review how clean these cuts were when I examined them after spitting the thick oak slabs. If the cuts look marred at all it's because of the splitting ax, and where the wood looks oddly discolored in some places it's from the paint on the side of the new saw blade rubbing off on it. Take it from me, this is a great saw blade! [And oh, by the way, it made beautiful cuts through 1x pine boards also.] Absolutely 5 stars ... show more

  • Great Addition for the Hubby's Workshop
My husband is a serious tool man, and he has a workshop full of motors, engines, cutting blades, and other kinds of tools. He wears his blades out rather frequently, so when I saw this, I was stoked to buy it for my husband, and he loves it, too. It cuts like butter, it is heavy-duty, easy to place and install, and it has lasted him for a good amount of time, and it still works like new. I am not sure how long it will take him to wear it down as he does go in his shop about every day to get some serious manly work done, but for now, it is still saw blade gold. ... show more

  • Smooth cuts on hardwood and softwood.
This blade gives a smooth cut on both hardwood and softwood (oak and pine). It is better made than I expected and seems like it will last - on durability only time will tell, though, and I have not used it enough to comment on that.

  • Cuts great
This product was provided as part of the Vine reviewer program; please consider this an objective review. Some of the items can be reviewed by a simple one sentence. Sometime I am brutally honest and that it is only my opinion. What can you say about a saw blade just like any tool if not taken care of it will fail. I have made over 50 plus cuts with this blade and is still holding a sharp edge. Of course like any other saw blade it is just a matter of time before it starts to dull. But until than it seems to be cutting clean. Worth the price of $11.99 ... show more

  • Quality blade
EZee 7 1/4 Circular Saw Blade 40 Teeth with 5/8" Arbor -- Using this blade to cut mostly plywood with my Dewalt saw and after market track. It is cutting smoothly and as well as the original Dewalt blade which has lasted for years with my numerous projects. I never hit any nails. It does not have an arbor knockout but that's no problem for me because all my saws require 5/8". I wouldn't say the price is anything special because diablo, the cream of the retail crop, is only $1.00 more at the big box store. Only time will tell if it was an exceptional buy or a dud. If it lasts long enough for me to forget what I paid for it I'll be happy. ... show more

  • Thin kerf makes easy cutting
Liked the thin kerf, making it easier to get the blade through the wood also saves wood. Although I only tested the blade for very little time there wasn’t really any damage to the blade coating. The paint blades I use would usually lose some paint after any usage. The coating may have been another reason it was easy to push the blade through the wood. Unfortunately I didn’t have a project large enough to test the blade for warping. The blade is so thin I have no idea what happens if it gets hot enough to warp from heavy use. If it does I will revise my rating. ... show more
