Usually, you don't expect too much for an inexpensive horn. But this is a nice one. You definitely get more bang for the buck here. The valves are smooth and quick, the slides are smooth, and the silver finish is flawless. It played easy, right out of the box. Intonation is good, with few adjustments needed to play in tune. Disclaimer: I have never owned or played a trumpet. I am a guitarist who has decided to give the trumpet a try for something completely different. I can however, tell when something is of quality construction, and this appears to be well made from really good materials. The finish is flawless and it is a very attractive instrument that comes with a decent case. The valves are smooth and responsive. After a little effort, I was able to make some sounds. I even hit some actual notes once in a while (and a LOT of cringy ones). This is going to be fun learning from YouTube videos. Again, I don't know trumpets, but I have to believe this one is perfectly fine for beginners like me. ... show more
