So, I was gifted this rake at a time when we had a hole dug in our yard and knew we'd need to rake in lots of new topsoil after the hole was filled with original soil. The rake looked way different on the website because I don't recall any size reference like hands on it or a wagon near it... something to see the actual size. So, when we received the package I thought, "ut oh, this ain't gonna be good", lol! We pulled the parts from the box, and the rake was extremely sturdy, but the width wasn't what I expected. Well, OK... we put it together and that was easy and forthright. We though, "This rake could be cool and not take up that much room in the garden shed". And lo and behold, my husband blended in a lot of topsoil in the aforementioned hole with ease. This rake performs better than you might think because of its size. So yes... it is small but it is mighty! You'll love it!

This is not really a heavy-duty rake, but it is a very nice, light weight rake for simple gardening. First, this comes in pieces. The rake head is actually 2 pieces and is likely to be the first place where this weakens with use. The screws aren't really made to be super strong. Once you put the two pieces of the rake head together, you have several pieces of the pole to assemble before putting the head on the pole. This is attached with two screws as well, although these seem a bit easier to really tighten down. There were minimal instructions, although it was pretty obvious. I think this would work well with moving around loose soil or mulch, but I think it will get frustrating fast if you try to use it to rake into solid soil. Do I have a use for it? Given the amount of mulch in my yard, I definitely will use this. But I also have a heavier, more sturdy one for other types of work. The price is great. I would suggest tightening all the screws before you start and periodically as you work to prevent the tool from becoming frustrating.

This rake lost a star from me almost immediately when I realized how much assembly was required. Maybe I'm spoiled, but when I order a basic yard tool like a rake, I really don't want another project before I can even use it. Having to assemble the handle and rake head definitely took away from the convenience. Once assembled, it's functional, but I also wouldn't describe it as particularly heavy-duty. The listing emphasizes its sturdy construction, reinforced steel tines, and heavy-duty design, so I was expecting something that felt much more solid in my hands. Instead, the multiple-piece adjustable handle makes the overall rake feel less sturdy than a traditional one-piece garden rake. There are still some things I like about it. The 17-tine head is a good width, and the double-sided design makes it useful for more than one job. You can use the tines for breaking up soil, thatch, and general garden work, then flip it over to help level mulch, gravel, or loose soil. The adjustable handle is also a nice concept, particularly if multiple people of different heights will be using it. It can also make the rake easier to break down and store. Unfortunately, I think that same adjustable, multi-piece construction contributes to the less-than-solid feeling that bothers me. At just under three pounds, it's relatively lightweight and easy to maneuver, which could actually be a benefit for lighter gardening and lawn-maintenance jobs. I just wouldn't personally choose this when I need to aggressively work compacted soil or tackle a heavier landscaping project. Overall, it works, but my expectations were higher based on the “heavy-duty” description. Between having to assemble it and the finished rake not feeling as sturdy as I expected, I can't give it four or five stars. For occasional gardening, spreading mulch, light soil work, or someone who specifically wants an adjustable rake, it may be perfectly adequate. If you're looking for a really solid, heavy-duty rake that feels like it can take a beating, though, this wouldn't be my first choice. Three stars.

This rake arrives unassembled. It has 4 pieces for the shaft, and two pieces that you attach with 4 included screws for the rake head.. The rake itself has two sides...one with long tines, one with short ones. The short ones are for leveling a garden bed I would think. The long ones are for raking "stuff" on top of rocks. The longer pronged rake was very effective for me moving leaves and downed branches that were resting on my rock front yard. I am able to collect the leaves and branches without moving the rocks very much. I'd call it a win. The assembly is simple, and once assembled, it is a solid tool. At $25, it is a great value. If you were to shop any of the home repair stores you would likely pay double for a rake of this quality. It is a worthwhile tool for your collection if you don't have a rake that will work on rocks. Recommended.

Would not recommend this rake to anyone. My wife and I were doing some landscaping projects this past weekend and I figured this would be the perfect time to test it out. First of all you have to put the whole thing together, which I guess would save them on shipping, but the handle is screwed into plastic couplers and the head of the rake is held in 2 bolts and wing nuts. The picture shows raking up leaves and that’s about all this thing might be good for, if you try to move top soil the thing will break. I tried to move mulch around and the handle kept loosing up, it got to the point that I went and grabbed the old trusty wooden handle rake to finish. Complete garbage.

This is a review of the MQHUAYU 63 Inch Bow Rake for Soil Leveling. This is a heavy-duty rake for leaves, scraping grass, and mulch. It was easy to put together. It is adjustable to whatever job you are doing at that moment. I use it mainly for scraping my grass and mulch as well as making rows in the soil for planting seeds. One thing I did not like about this rake is that I left it out in the rain, and when I went to use it again and turned it over to hang it up on the fence, black liquid (I'm sure rain mixed with whatever else, or the material of the rake) came out. This is very concerning to me, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 4 stars. My Amazon Rating Scale - 5-Absolutely Love the Product. It went above and beyond what I expected, and I'll tell everyone about it. I would definitely purchase again. 4-A great product, which I like a lot. I may refer others to the product. The product exceeded my expectations. I would probably purchase again. 3-It was just okay for me. I probably wouldn't refer to the product. It does what it is supposed to, but that is it. I probably wouldn't purchase again. 2-Did not like the product at all. I definitely would not recommend this product, and would never purchase it again. 1-The product was absolutely horrible, and I gave it a one-star rating because the 0-star rating was unavailable. The manufacturer/seller should go back to the drawing board.
