The stand is sturdy and stable. The instructions are written in 3pt font, so some get out your magnifying glasses. The instructions for the remote are also limited. They direct you to the Apple App Store to download an app that is built in Chinese vs. English.

I use this product to video my swing for golf. It is very versatile and perfect to set at the proper height and position to record my full movements. The remote is also nice to have.

Having a handy easily-transportable tripod for your phone or action camera is a great asset. This one is advertised for helping your golf swing, but since I don’t golf, I won’t be using it for that. Nor will I be using it for by phone. I have a different one for my phone. I’ll be using this for my DJI Osmo Pocket 3 camera as it has the GoPro-style mount on it. That means anyone can also switch this over to using it for any action camera you have. In fact, with an adapter you can mount any camera on it, although, it’s not super strong at its fullest height for a larger camera. Also, not sure if the remote will pair with different cameras. The legs of the tripod are plastic, although, they are strengthened by the metal bracing on each leg. There is still a fair amount of movement in the legs when weight is applied to them. Shouldn’t be an issue with a phone or action camera, though. The aluminum telescoping rod is pretty sturdy and much better than a lot of them I’ve seen. It can even be used as a nice extendable selfie stick. Overall, it’s a pretty good tripod. I’m not a fan of the too shiny tripod top as it’s a plastic imitation of quality parts in name-brand accessories. Plus, the legs are too difficult to release from their locked position. Definitely not going to happen accidentally. Amazon Vine sent this product to me for an honest unbiased review. Would I recommend it? Yes, if you’re in need of good tripod or selfie stick for your phone or action camera, this would be one to definitely consider.

Judged by weight and portability alone, this would win all the prizes. It's very light and would be very easy to carry in even a small travel bag. Unfortunately, the tradeoff for that light weight is limited stability that gets worse the taller you have the stand. It's basically a function of the tripod legs being too stubby to provide good stability as the center of gravity rises with the phone on the end. The actual springloaded phone holder worked ok, but felt so insubstantial I was afraid I would break it just by putting the phone in it. I did not use the remote as I have a policy of not giving random electronics access to my phone, but it seemed like it would be fine if you are already a CCP member or are just ready to throw caution to the wind with your phone security. For a portable, lightweight phone stand I think this would serve most anyone well as long as you didn't fully extend the stand and were prepared for some aspect of its very cheap construction to break sooner than later.

I got this because I love to critique my own golf swing but it is so hard to do when you cannot watch yourself. So I can use this to video myself and instantly watch the playback and make any necessary changes. The stand is easy to set up and seems to be plenty sturdy to hold my phone. And it is often windy here where I live. But so far it has worked great for me. It comes with a Bluetooth switch to control the phone but I don't use it. I simply set it up and then push the record and then start hitting balls. Then after a few hits, I'll stop the recording and then watch the playback. Again, it is easy to use for that. And I also love how it folds up. I keep it in my golf bag at all times. Due to how it folds up it makes it very portable. Overall I love it and highly recommend it.

My expectations were superseded for this tripod! It is surprisingly sturdy and very compact when closed up. Easy to open to full height which is really tall! Easy to close back up to compact size for travel/storage. Holds the phone really well and is not unstable at all. Fits in a small drawstring backpack with ease. Lots of range of motion for angles on the camera. Perfect for vacation, travel, or social media content creation.
