All the functions work, seems to be a copy of a Wagne* found in big box stores. But everything works for the part time painter or hobbyist. About same as the version found in H.Freight stores. If a pro painter 5 days a week, will have to go with the brand name product.

This paint sprayer uses a Venturi effect to suck paint out of the paint container and blow it onto your project. This method requires the product being used to be of a thickness (viscosity) that will allow it to be sucked into the spray head. Here's how you do that. Get a plastic cup that will hold around a quart/liter of water. Put the paint filter (2 disposable filters provided) on top of this cup and fill it about 60% full with what you want to spray. Toss the used paint filter. Submerge the provided viscosity cup into the materials cup then pull it out while holding your finger over the drain hole. (Latex gloves recommended). Move your finger from the hole and clock how long it takes to drain. Compare the drain time with the table on the second page of the manual (DON'T LOSE THIS TABLE). If it takes longer to drain than shown in the table the material must be diluted. Read the label on the material to determine what to dilute it with. Add some to the plastic cup, mix thoroughly, and retest. Repeat. When you have the correct viscosity, pour from the plastic cup to the paint container. The printed instruction manual is in English, Spanish, German, French, Chinese, and Italian--but the instructions on the Amazon website are much clearer. A couple of confusing things: the manual is entitled "21V Lithium electric Paint Spray Gun." The device runs on 110v and has no battery. The Amazon site shows that it comes with three adapters: 1mm, 1.8 and 2.5mm but I found no instructions that specify when you would choose each. Because of the need to set the viscosity of every batch of material, using this device to paint areas that would require multiple fills of material is very tiresome. For single fill projects, it is very useful and recommended. In addition, the dilution of the product may exceed the recommended maximum dilution of the material. For example, with indoor house paint, recommended dilution by the paint manufacturer was <10% but the dilution required was about 25%. While I saw no negative effect from diluting the paint that much, I needed to put 3 or 4 coats on to get an acceptable finish.

This spray gun is more for small DIY projects. The canister is tiny. If you were doing a larger job you would constantly need to be filling it. The paint has to be a certain viscosity which is much different than most spray guns. I don’t really want to add water to my paint. It isn’t the easiest to use. It will not work for the project I wanted it for.

It was easy to use and did the job that it was intended for. My husband stained our backyard fence and the job went faster with the sprayer than with a paintbrush would have gone. He recommends it for any small home project.

We had some indoor painting projects, and this spray gun was fine for small rooms, like the walk in closets and bathrooms. When it came to the halls and bedrooms, it was easier to just use a roller. The 1000 ml paint tank covers less than 100 square feet, so I was reloading it quite often. Also, the cord is a huge limitation in where you can use this thing. Even with an extension, it made it more cumbersome to maneuver and got in the way. I wouldn't recommend this for outdoor projects at all, but if you're just redoing a bathroom or something small like that, this sprayer will work fine. It coats evenly and quickly, and really saves a lot of effort versus doing things manually. It also is a great value versus what you might find at a retail store, so if you're just doing a little project in the garage or something like that, I'd say get it.
