Price at the time of this review: $59.99, which is really high to me. But read on! First impression? These are high quality scissors. Beautiful, professional, the kind of scissors you would expect in a top salon. I cut my husbands and our kids’ hair at home - saves us a lot of money compared to going to a stylist or one of those chain shops. With these scissors, she can cut just as well, maybe better. They make the job easier, no question about it. But let’s be honest, she is not cutting hair all day long, so for us they might be more than we actually need. The good is obvious. These scissors are sharp, very sharp. Smooth cuts, no pulling, no problems. The quality is excellent, you can see it and you can feel it. They even come in a nice display case, which makes them look impressive. Size is good too, a little larger than the ones we used before, but comfortable to use. Now, the bad. The price. That is where they lose a star. There are a lot of hair scissors out there, some with the same teel and adjustable tension, selling for one-quarter or half the price. Maybe these are better than the cheaper ones, probably they are. But when you can buy four of the cheaper pairs for the cost of one, it makes you think. For the weight, they're not heavy, but they've got a lot of 'oomph' to them. So not cheaply made, but not so hefty that it will fatigue your hands at the end of the day. But overall thoughts - These scissors are high quality, professional, and they work beautifully. If you are a stylist or cutting hair every day, they are worth it. If you are just trimming hair at home like us, they might be too much money for what you need. Very good scissors, but not the best value. ... show more

As you can see in my video, the scissors cut well. It's easy to cut hair precisely, and the hair just falls away. They're comfortable to hold and easy to use for cutting. The blades move smoothly. Of course I haven't had them for long, so time will tell how well they stay sharp and move smoothly. There are other hair scissors that are a better value, though. ... show more

The VG10 stainless-steel material this is constructed from is superior to standard 440C steel. The convex ground blade tweak-honed by CNC really does make for flawless cuts with zero split ends. The offset thumb ring makes continuous use much easier with less fatigue. The high precision bearing and adjustable screw really does create effortless shearing. I played with the screw to feel a full range of friction-free to firm cutting action. The granularity and continuous level adjustment that provides makes these unlike most other hair shears. There are rubber (silicone) finger inserts, a cleaning cloth and also a wrench for adjusting the bearing tension and all packaged in a very nice presentation box. Based on the ergonomic features, adjustable bearing, unique sharpness and cutting ease, these scissors are well-worth the cost. The performance and reduced fatigue alone justify getting scissors like these, but with that superior cutting capability this is a no-brainer for a serious stylist or barber. I am neither, just a guy who learned how to cut his own hair when COVID shut down all the shops. I do 90% of my haircut and my spouse "neatens things up" after I finish. Smooth, effortless cutting, quality craftsmanship. These SEIMEIKEN 6" Professional Hair Scissors are well-made with quality material. VG10 steel provides excellent performance and edge retention—only surpassed by top-tier steels like ATS-314. The ergonomic design with features like a finger rest, silencer, and contoured handles, allow for precise cutting and control, reducing hand, wrist, and arm fatigue during extended use. Both the thumb ring and the finger ring fit comfortably on my small hand without the included silicone inserts. The included tension screw fits the serrations on the tension knob, allowing adjustment as needed. The convex shape of the blade, with its curved outer surface, creates a sharper cutting angle and a smoother cutting action compared to beveled blades. The balance is spot-on and the scissors are very sharp. This comes with a tension screw, two silicone inserts and a cleaning cloth. Elegantly packaged and ready for gifting. ... show more

Sometimes my wife will cut my hair and our kids' hair which saves us money vs. a salon/barber. She can cut our hair just as good or better than the cheaper places like great clips. These new scissors will make cutting our hair easier. However, she is not cutting hair all day long so these are kind of over kill. The good: Nice and sharp. Great quality. Nice display case. The bad: price Size: nice size, these are a little larger than the hair scissors we were using before Quality: high quality Value: this is where I'm taking a star off. There are a lot of hair scissors available out there and some even with VG10 and adjustable tensions like these but for like 1/4 to 1/2 the price. Now I cannot directly compare the quality of those other scissors, and these are probably better than the cheaper ones. However, if I can buy 4 of the cheaper ones those 4 together would probably last longer than this one pair. If you are a professional hair stylist these might be worth it though. ... show more
