    • Great DC CDI box!
I use these to convert AC wired scooters to DC when I am not concerned with kick starting a scooter with a dead battery. I have had several scooters that would charge the battery, but not send enough voltage to the CDI box to create enough spark. This will always correct that, as long as you replace the wire to the power supply pin on the box to one that is switched from the battery. This is also an easy way to trouble shoot a No Spark on most GY6 scooters, before you replace a stator. I have the wiring set up so that I can switch between AC and DC power if I want to go back to the AC box.     • Didn't work at all
Needed a DC CDI for a gy6 engine in a gokart. When this was installed it was unable to produce any spark. I contacted the company and their customer service was great and they shipped out a replacement. Unfortunately the replacement was the same.

It was smaller than the Kymco OEM cdi, which made me question if it was really dc. However, all the labels on it said dc, so I gave it a try anyways. Worked after I rewired the harness plugs to match the standard gy6 DC cdis you can commonly find on the web. Now that I have confirmed my OEM cdi died, I'll probably look into getting a proper taiwanese cdi such as naraku. ... show more
